We got the notice of action on my wife's I-751 application dated April 28, 2008. It arrived in Saturday May 3rd's mail. I'm still trying to find the case listed on the USCIS web site, but nothing so far.
Does anyone have recent history on how long it take them to get the case listed online. I want to sign up for email notification.
You have to wait for biometrics notice, it will have different case number which you can use for checking your status online.

That's correct. Need to wait for biometrics letter. You can view my timeline to get an idea when you may receive that letter from the CSC.

Thanks for the heads up on the case number being with the biometrics notice. We got it yesterday and checked it this morning. It seems kind of counter productive to assign two different case numbers, but then this is the USCIS.
Now my problem is trying to get set up with email notification. I had it set up for the original green card application but can't remember my old password and their system doesn't want to allow me to change the password. What's really weird is the letter from them says that my password is only good for 90 days, so the old one should have long since expired.
I guess I'm going to have to dig through the mounds of paperwork from two years ago to find it. The hint doesn't help at all since I don't have a clue what it was now. I tried several different answers but didn't get it and there doesn't seem to be a place to make a change of passwords. I wonder if these people ever try to navigate through their own system.
