Paris ...did you check status after touch ? you may have been already approved mine had 2 touches sunday and yesterday ....but still pending status?

Our I-130 also got touched Sunday and Monday. I called today and once again heard the so familiar "On February 14th we have received..." message.
This was a first touch since NOA1 in Feb...I129 was touched on 3/20 and nothing since then.

Sgr, yes love, I was all over that Case line status on USCIS like white on rice, but still shows pending etc etc etc.
Something is rumbling, maybe flood of approvals coming very, very soon.

Sgr, I dont thnk anyone knows what the touches are, status changes when USCIS updates your petition for one reason or another. That is probley going to be another un-solved mystery, or maybe Ripley Believe it or Not will give us answer one day.

That's great Adam75 alot of January filers touched in past two days. Keep fingers crossed. And Rajee a January filer also got approved May 1st. VSC filer.

did any one call VSC by susing RFE line regarding touches on Jan filers...i did call yesterday regarding my touches 5/5 and 5/6 ...they gave same old "pending" ...Can any call again whats going on ....touches but no approvals ??

Maybe they started working on our applications.That can be the reason for all those touches.We need to be patient I think that it's a matter of days when we'll hear good news.

We just got touched again on our I-130 appl. too.
Of course i'm expecting an RFE for ours, but we'll see.

Because Mike and I put something wrong in one of our forms.
But getting the RFE would be fine since it'd mean we can do something about it!
Of course not getting it would be even better, lol.
Those touches are great for all of us cuz it means they are actually doing stuff with the I-130's instead of the K-1's!

Not all of us of course, i just meant Paris and Jelena and some others that are getting the same touches so it seems.
I feel terrible however for folks that are waiting way longer. This immigration stuff just sucks.

Paris, that's great that you got touched again!i'm so glad that something is actually happening with our applications as Catt said even if I get RFE that wouldn't be so bad because we would be close to our approvals.

I got touched on 5/6/08 at VSC as well. Seems kind of sad considering I just interviewed for and got offered a job in Canada since we werent making any progress. Not sure what I should do now.

Yeah, I was so happy, I forgot to click on case number to see if approval or a RFE, just still said case pending, etc etc.. I only wish we knew what all these touches mean. ?????

I wish I could help you somehow but I don't know how except to say that I have a strong feeling that our approvals are coming soon, very soon.I don't think that they would be touching all that applications for nothing.GO VSC GO!!!

Yeah I have the same feeling. I have loads of work to finish too and I can't concentrate anymore.
I just keep telling my colleagues we got touched on our visastuff and they just look at me like you're crazy lady (i find this visa stuff is difficult to imagine when you're not actually in it).

Hey guys ...This is my thought ....After all these "touches " for all filers in jan 08 ....they send some to "Approval " dept some to "RFE " etc.... where notices are prepared and sent to petitioners ....Until that time you see ...Case pending status...

any thoughts....may be someone call VSC...

I thought when a RFE comes up, your case status will show that RFE issued instead of case received and pend, etc etc...... someone correct me if Im wrong???????

I get excited every time I receive a touch, and nothing.

Yes, I believe that is how Cornishman and Cris.luiza knew immediately an REF letter was on its way.
I'm sure we'll know should an RFE be issued, if at all it is, I wouldn't worry about this.

Jon, i'm real sorry you've been waiting this long. This kinda waiting period, and the long discrepancy between cases, is just wrong.

Hey John, if you look at other people's timelines you'll see that in many cases they got two touches and then after some 20 days or a month they got approved.I know that you have been waiting already for too long but hang in there!

i have my congressman's office on the case. checking and putting on the pressure. they are really great(and free).

my lawyer just took my money and thats about it.

Congressman is making another call to see where my case is in the "review" stage.
Gotta call him later to see what he has found out.
Probably stuck in some clerical bull. Who knows .
