I had a few from a couple of males (or females acting as males) asking personal information name age location, and asking for my email/messanger ID's and this is pretty much a site for families and not dating I thought. I took all my personal photos and contact information off since then.

I don't know if that's what you were looking for.

it wasnt as much strange as it was annoying. Constant asking for yahoo id, etc, I heard complaints about this person from several other MENA women.

I too thought this was a family not dating site. I felt harrassed at the constant requests of chatting and it became a nuisance.

I think there are several unrelated issues with PMs. Maybe it would help to be more specific about the nature of these particular ones?

I have been contacted by some.. a particular one more than others.. creepy.. personal info asked and all.... my mistake was that being a friendly person i gave in... now my marriage is in jeopardy because of this situation..................

Ok i also got one and have been checking around today and found 4 maybe 5 so far all from the same person......this oersson does not even go thru MENA> with me it was to tell them where ahmed was from because he had a secret,,,,,the secret come back that ahmeds real name was .........which is totally NOT the case and there are others hopefully as the wrights just did they will tell their story because it is tending to be the same person doing it,.

Well, I'll elaborate a little... this person in question has been targeting ppl w/ Moroccan SO's and has been asking where SO is from and then going on to say something to the effect of "I have a secret to tell you... blah, blah, blah" and continuing on about how you are being used for a GC and don't file the papers for (fill in the blank of whatever stage you're at). Yadda, yadda, yadda....

To this person I'd like to just say : Go f### yourself!

Best course of action to take is to block these people, and should you find that multiple people are getting the same PM's - forward them on to one of the mods or ewok.

wow what an arse...thats uncalled for seriously. I'll elaborate on mine - it seems the same person praying on a select few and they seem to just wanna chat all the time...until they get blocked, that is. Personal questions as well. A/L. but constant chat requests like they just dont comprehend we're here to "hook up." durrrr

I get that totally - this person was trying to personally chat during the slumber parties and it just ruined my whole experience and even during my husband's phone calls this person was requesting yahoo id...wow....

these times seem to be late evening also when they get on

Right. I deleted the PMs thinking they would "go away" - basically i see theres 2 main culprits:
#1 that claims to know the secrets of the MENA husbands
#2 that constantly requests chatting/yahoo ids and asks personal questions.

Both of their names we all collectively know, those who have been affected. I wish I had kept those PMs.

This *has* been done, however, since it seems to be happening to many, we're trying to all connect, compare experiences and go to Ewok w/ a report of these experiences.

When I did post my email address up i had a few men 2 from morrocoo and 1 from egypt contact me via yahoo mesanger asking for cam?? 1 algerian man from here talked to me by yahoo for his marriage visa and about his wifes problems but he was respectful towards me.

And they are married to woman on these boards . I wanted to make their names known and post a new subject but I know women on here would take it in another way.

If you're concerned about the USER IDs of the married men who PM'd me I'll look in my inbox and let anybody with that concern know.

The same person that everyone is talking about ( I think) wanted to chat with me too a lot and was saying very inappropriate things.. But I took my screen names off my main page and that seemed to fix it. I'm sorry you are all dealing with this. I hope it gets resolved soon.

Yup, I had one too. I had posted a msg to everyone on my friends list (i think) who it was and what his screen name was just in case he contacted them. He tried to get me to talk multiple times about extremely intimate subjects and I tried to be nice and tell him that I didn't believe in talking that way with anyone other than my husband ESPECIALLY not to other men. He still continued to ask those questions so I blocked him. I give anyone the benefit of the doubt till they just can't get over being stupid. I hope he quits this nonsense.

Hmmm... come think about it, I did get a couple of weird PMs from someone, asking that kind of questions: where you at? age? yada yada yada. I told the person to back off and it worked. Maybe it was bigger than I thought.

I guess I am not worthy of unwanted anything, oh the horror of it all. What is it; I am not good enough for good old fashion harassment.

so far the total i know of from this one individual exceeds 5 people. i hope ewok takes a very hard line with this person.

I received one as well warning me not to trust my husband. I wrote back to ask who they are and why they said that but no response...surprise.

Seriously do they think we are going to buy their load of crap? I have been married long enough, and he has been here long enough, if I don't trust my husband, and this swayed me then there would be something wrong with me.

"She/he" was the one asking my nationality and more pictures and questions about how to know if someone is after a green card or not .I'm guessing bad previous experience and led "her/him" to have no life now. Confirmed. It is the same chopf#ck who PMed me. Under the guise "I really like your posts" bla bla. I have him "simply" blocked. Any ideas on how to contribute to getting him some corrective action Charles?

I too "simply" had to block this person...it was sooner or later this problem would get flushed out. I have been getting pm's abt this person way too much to be a coincidence.

Someone contacted me as well and gave me his yahoo ID so we can chat... he was polite actually but i declined ofcourse saying i dont chat with men and he never contacted me after that! i dont think he was harrasing but may be its me thinking everyone is nice!! i dont know i mean i see him around here all the time and he is always a nice person .... so im confused now!
