Hi guys,
My friend got stamp I-551 in passport, and he also have his welcome letter, but he didn't get green card yet. He had 2 info-pass and they keep on saying it will come, it will come, but they don't know when.
He got his welcome letter last year sometime on June or July, and still didn't get green card.
He would like to travel this summer to Serbia, can he travel only with passport that have stamp I-551?
Is that gonna be safe, will he have problems?
Please help if anyone know something about it?
THX

Yes you can travel with the I-551 stamp, it is valid for travel and work until the date noted on the stamp. The I-551 will allow re-entry from a trip abroad.

Yes he will be able to travel as long as the I-551 hasnīt expired, I traveled abroad and had no problems when coming back in with the stamp, they do advise to bring supporting documentation with you such as the welcome letter and marriage certificate, in my case it wasnīt necessary to bring those out, you better safe than sorry.
