I called NVC automated line today....hadn't called in about a week....it said that" The NVC has reviewed your packet of forms and found information missing or incomplete. The NVC has sent checklist letter on 4/30/2008...." So this sent me in a tizzie!! Thinking I had some missing info on my I-864 since that was the last documents I sent and the stickie above listed this messages as an AOS RFE. I started panicing about what tax forms I didnt send or not writing my case number on forms or blah blah blah. So I call NVC, get and operator and she tells me only thing missing is my DS-230 and the AOS packet and forms were all cleared and complete. JEESH!!!! So I guess it was what you guys call a "false RFE". The DS-230 was sent using the shortcuts and arrived in Portsmouth today so they will soon register that they have it.

I'm just so over all this paperwork I don't know what to do. I really was ready to go crazy thinking that I was gonna have to scrounge up some extra financial information.

Whew!! Ok so moving on.....

I'm hoping the JA nightmare will be quick. I am so glad that NVC handles all the paperwork and interview scheduling. Jamaica is just a hot mess when it comes to organization.

Now I need to figure out how and where my husband can get his vaccines for cheap in JA, cause the prices for the medical are really high.

I got the same false RFE yesterday and called and got the exact same answer. We must be on about the same timeline. My DS 230 was received in the mailroom on Friday, but who knows when it will be entered. I am hopeful that it will be soon!

Yup, I got the same false RFE too after NVC received my I-864EZ. I sent my DS-230 last week. I'll call in tomorrow for the weekly Tuesday update to see if that message has been cleared up.

You are fine with that message, I had same message and it didnt change for about 3 weeks, so if that happen to you dont panic. Once DS230 enter the system( you might hear that tomorrow/until end of the week...hopefully), one week after expect to hear case completed.

Just another update: I just called NVC to talk with an operator in person. She confirmed that my DS-230 just entered into the system today, May 5th. So, definitely tomorrow that false RFE will be cleared up.

I asked her about when did NVC completely process for my I-864EZ. It was April 28th, exactly 7 days after I sent in. Then she said: "Good job! good job! No mistake." I just laughed. Anyway, I notice the night NVC crews seem to be a lot nicer.

Marlita, he can go to any health clinic. Remember that JA now has fre health care. Mike got his from the clinic and did not have to pay anything. Depending on his age he will need the MMR, Tetanus and probably the varicella. Don't let them give him the polio. It is for babies. Good luck.

I also just sent in our AOS packet and got the same msg as you. I was stressin out all weekend just trying to think what I left out or what else that I might need to send in, but Alhumdulilah, it was just the DS230 they are needing. I am waiting for my husband to send me the DS230 signed and all supporting documents, so ours will be a little bit behind yours.

I got 2 false rfe in 2 days for the same reason - ds-230 not in the system yet
after I called nvc they told me not to worry

They sure are nice at night. I've never called in the day but I've heard nasty stories about the day crew. I'm on the west coast so I just wait til the east coast folks are getting off owrk and call. its usually about 5 PST.

Well my DS230 was delivered yesterday. The automated line still has not changed but hopfully by Wed this week it will show that its been entered. I pray there's nothing wrong with the DS230 and I get a case complete next week.

Oh thanks for this!! I didnt know this stuff was free! I heard the crazy prices for the vaccines being around $200US at the medical appointment , so this will be great. I will research those vaccines he needs.

I called the morning at 6am and got the same RFE I just got off the phone with them and they said I was missing the DS230 I told them I mailed it 5/2 and she said everything is fine now its probably in the building and just not showing up I tracked it and I know it reached them 5/5 so Im keeping my fingers croseed that she is right everything is OK

My automated message change today. Says that "the checklist items were received may 6 and that i will be let known of the review outcome" or something to that extent. So thats great.

Congrats...you should get a case complete any day now...when did you send in your DS230???...I should receive all my hubby's docs tomorrow...had him mail it to my job so as soon as i get it i can go to the post office and send it next day delivery so they can receive it by Friday...I really want an early July interview...I hope i get it....

I sent it all by mail on last wednesday. They finally received it in the office on Monday cuase they originally delivered it on a Saturday and of course they are closed that day. If you don't want to pay to the next day delivery you could just send it Priority mail for abot $5. NVC won't really work on your case til Monday anyway if it gets delivered Friday.

Next Monday your case will be complete Marlita.

Marlita, you took off like a bullet girl. You are almost at the end of this long and dreary road. Doesn't it feel good? Next week you will be jumping for joy and have us all up in arms about hearing your case complete.

Congrats Marlita! After sending in an AOS RFE last Thursday(I already submitted my ds-230 two weeks ago) I got the exact message as you today, it seems both our cases are in the final stage of review.

I know!! NVC ROCKS NOW!!! I even blew about a week cause it was moving so fast and I didnt have my husbands PC so I had to wait on him to go get it and send to me. If I didn't have that wait I'd probably be case complete by now. God willing I don't get an RFE for something. I would love to hear case complete next week.

I have a question...since I did not receive that false RFE and i was told my I-864 was entered on May 2nd does that mean that no one is actually reviewing my docs yet...you guys got the RFE because someone had to have started reviewing your documents and noticed the DS230 was missing which is why you got the RFE message...Today I got the message that my documents was received May 12...to me it seems that my documents was received and entered but probably still in the data entry department and was not forwarded to an officer to reveiw...am I right to assume this???...anyone out there who did not receive a false RFE can you let me know how long did it take for you to get a case complete???...It seems if you get the false RFE you get a case complete relatively quickly since an officer is already looking at it and is looking to get the docs thats missing....

I just got that message for my I-864, I called them and they told me that everything was fine and that they would send/generate my IV Bill next week. I am hoping things settle in my husband's country so he can finish his documents. We are waiting on the police report but all the Government agencies have been closed since the clashes started last Wednesday who knows when they will re-open This is causing us a delay

Oh my gosh I just got the RFE in the mail 5/23 16 days after hearing the automated messages I would have went crazy by now if it had not been a false RFE All the more reason to make sure all paper work is correct before mailing
