if you have filed form I-130 for both of your parents, please kindly list of all the documents that you sent along with the form I-130. i have been reading this forum and i'm really confused on what documents are needed to send with the form. some fellow members are saying that form G-325A and photos are needed to send with the form, but when i read the instructions, they are only needed when you are petitioning your husband or wife.
if you have filed form I-130 for your Mother and Father, please write down all documents that you have sent with the form.
for Mother..........
for Father...........
thank you all in advance.

I have filed Form I-130 for my mother recently. I have attached my birth certificate, my naturalization certificate and my marriage certificate as proof of my last name change(not sure if this is needed) and also a check for $355.
You have to file seperate I-130s for both of your parents.

Thanks.

There's a very nice guy in the Canada forum (my brother) who filed for Mom and Pops, and did all the data gathering. His name is IR5FORMUMSIE - contact him.

Hi,
I am also planning to bring my mom over to USA as soon as I get my naturalization. I know I have long way to go before I reach there. But I want to be prepared when the time comes. Kindly share the document list and whatever you can on this topic.
Thanks

I mailed I-130 on 05/03/08 to Chicago lock box. They received it on 05/05/08(pretty fast). Check was cashed on 05/15/08 and I received a notice in mail saying that they received the application and check on 05/17/08.
I really hope that the whole process will move fast too.
Please keep updating this post.

Hi, I am far from where you are at right now because I am just starting my journey to the US, my visa just got approved recently, but I am interested to know if any of you have ever tried having your parents file for a tourist visa in going to the US to attend your wedding? Because I would like my parents to attend my wedding in the US, so I am thinking of having them file for a tourist visa. But I dont know how that goes, and I also know that a tourist visa has about a 50% chance of getting approved, so I mean, is that even a good idea to have them file for a tourist visa? Or will that just be a waste of money? Is a wedding invitation enough of a guarantee for approval? Does anyone have any idea? thank you very much.
