Under Question 7 of the I-134 there is a second part to the question stating "I derive an annual income of:" My husband made $13,798 last year but he started in july. At his current wage he would earn $30160 a year. Which one should I write down? Please help

thanks..

I would state the annual income that he should derive. This would work out best if he can get a statement from his place of employment listing his job title start date and annual salary.

yap. agree good.gif annual income would be what he would earn for entire year ( 30,160) and a letter from his employer.

Mine states the annual salary. even though I work for an hourly rate, they just put the total I would make for a standard year. My ITR was actually filed for a lot more because of all of the overtime I worked last year. for an hourly rate to get the yearly income, you should take the rate times 2080 as that is the number of hours that would normally be worked in a year of 40 hour weeks.

Don't know about embassy interview but at our AOS interview the CO meticuliously added up the entire most recent filed tax year.
He cared less what I was making currently.

do u think its okay if his ITR 2007 showed he only made $13,798 , and then he will state in I-134 $30160 a year for his annual income ?

I think it should be ok, especially if he does get the letter from his employer showing when he started and what his annual salary is. Although since the filed amount is lower than 125% of the poverty line, you may want to provide some of the other information requested like assets, bank statement, etc.
