im about to have my interview on the 21st of this month. just wondered if i should get a single (one way) ticket or a return. i would of thought a return would be better just in case immigration guys say something like "what if things dont work out" "how will you get home"

Getting a single is fine but you'll probably find that returns are much cheaper.

I just bought Damian's ticket.. 1st off Return is half the price of one way! so I bought a return not even worrying about the return date just trying to get the cheapest ticket I can. I really don't think it matters. i doubt you'll even be asked about it at POE.

sidestep.com is quite good buy i find going through the airlines themselves is cheaper.. I got Damian's ticket for $580 from continental. used a coupon code that saved me like $9 big deal really. just was happy cause I only had $600 to spend... and his flight is Heathrow to Newark direct. we decided that we weren't worried about going to JFK for the temp EAD even tho JFK isn't that far from Newark we wanted to keep it simple and keep it the same as its always been... always use heathrow and newark for the passed 2 years.
i find the cheapest to be... Virgin Atlantic and British Air
We always used those 2 only reason we changed to continental was cause it was the same price and they had better flight times.

Don't worry about it, they won't ask you that. Just buy whatever is cheapest.

Depends where you are flying to.

And I agree, buy the cheapest flight, it doesn't matter if it's a return or one way to the POE geezers.

you could try to get your stop to be in JFK and make it worth wild. cause that way you'll probaby get the temp ead.. found 1 for 900 from heathrow to jfk to minneapolis.

oh also.. buying your ticket on a weekday for a weekday is the cheapest time you can buy and exactly 2 weeks before you fly is pretty cheap too most the time.. but you have to be willing to take a chance and wait to buy your ticket.

Aerlingus makes it cheaper if you just want one way. I paid £230 one way Edinburgh to Chicago visa Dublin. I found the likes of BA etc it was much cheaper to get a return ticket.

$272 one way from London - JFK. Thats vayama.com. Dont think you will get much cheaper than that.
