Hello! I've been seeing the word "TOUCHED" on timelines. WHEN and HOW would you know your filed petition was touched?
Please share your knowledge on this.

Thank you and more power to this site. star_smile.gif

Hi smile.gif
This is a FAQ.
Please use the search bar above to look up questions like this that are asked pretty much daily.
There is also a FAQ tab at the top that has so much information on commonly asked questions.

Touched simply means an adjudicator has "touched" your file. Meaning, they've moved it, filed it, looked at it or begun processing on it.
Touches really are meaningless. There have been people approved with no touches whatsoever on their file and then they get their approval notice.

To check to see if your case has been touched you log into the USCIS.gov website, add your case number to your login. When you log in you can see a Last Updated date. If that date changes, then you know the last time your petition was "touched".

Best of luck
~L
