I have another question regarding to the Poverty Guidelines. As of now, what is the minimum income requirement for 2 people? When they say minimum income requirement, do they mean Income or Adjusted Gross Income shown in Form 1040?
Thanks!

Here's the link to the 2008 guidelines http://www.uscis.gov/propub/DocView/slbid/dat/I_864P.pdf Currently the 125% level is $17,500 for two people. The 2007 guide line was $17,112 for two people.

They usually use the Adjusted Gross Income.

If it is form 1040 or 1040A, it's your total income. If you used 1040EZ, it's your Adjusted income.
