Hey everybody

since i am new to VJ i would be grateful for some help, because i am sitting here right now trying to fill out all the papers for the I-129 Package. My boyfriend got engaged two days ago after 7 years of a long distance relationship. I am so excited biggrin.gif
So we filled out all the forms.
- Is it ok if i just use the forms that are on here as example for the cover letter and the Fiance Letter of Intent?
- We only need to send proof of the last two years right?
- Do we put it in a large envelope and just send it off, do not bend?

I appreciate your help and i think VJ is awesome. Good Luck for everybody

- We only need to send proof of the last two years right? Just proof of meeting within the last 2 years. It does not have to cover the past 2 years.
- Do we put it in a large envelope and just send it off, do not bend? Thats what we did. Just used a big binder clip to keep the papers together.

I appreciate your help and i think VJ is awesome. Good Luck for everybody

Zee already answered you perfectly...I just wanted to add welcome to VJ and good luck on your journey!

Download the forms from the USCIS site but use the examples here for assistance filling them out. (not sure if that answers your question).

Make sure you copy the whole thing when you're done (we didn't know to do that back then, wish we did just for peace of mind).

You only need to prove that you've MET in the past 2 years. It could be one time...it could be 600 times. It just can't be more than 2 years ago since your LAST time meeting. Best proof is travel documents (stamped passport, boarding passes, stuff like that).

Yes, put it in a large envelope. Do NOT staple it. You can paperclip it or use those tighter fasteners clippy jobbers.

Good luck and congratulations on your engagement!! You'll find VJ to be a wealth of info and excellent support during this process. Going through Vermont you're probably in for a speedy ride! Lucky you!!

Aww Zee beat me! lolol

It's not necessary, but I would do it if only for peace of mind....I made 2 perfect copies of the packet: one to keep in my records and one to give to my fiance for the interview (just in case)...but I have been known to go a little overboard on the preparedness...

Ok thanks everybody for their help.

Now how do i write the check to and i send the package to the Vermont not to the field office right?

Just trying to make sure we do everything right.

Thanks again.
