When I requested her for the Invoice Identification Number (IIN) so I could pay all immigration processing fees using the on-line system at Dept. of State On-line payment, she said they are no longer taking payments on-line! I know the website has the following message The system will be unavailable from 4:00 p.m. EST Wednesday, April 30th, 2008 to 7:30 a.m. EST May 1st, 2008 due to maintenance. El sistema no estará disponible por mantenimiento desde las 4:00 p.m. de abril 30, 2008 a las 7:30 a.m. de Mayo 1, 2008.

She then put me on hold and returned to say it again. She then suggested I mail the payment and gave me the PO Box number.

Has anyone been successful getting the IIN number recently?

I got my IIN number last nite around 7:30PM E time by calling NVC.

I paid the AOS bill few minutes ago (10:00 am Eastern Time) using online payment.

Based on what people have posted, I've noticed that the night time crew at the NVC is more helpful than the day time people. Maybe you can try calling them at night to see if they give you the IIN.

When I tried again this morning, the operator said it was not available. Did you have any special way of asking for it? Initially I thought they were giving only the IIN only to certain case types. When I called yesterday, I gave all the case info to the operator. Today before even I gave the info, I told her the reason I called and she promptly replied, the on-line option is not available yet.

I was just lucky. After verification, I mentioned that I want to try the new Online Payment system and the lady said, " So, you are looking for the Invoice number"?

I also got my IIN last night as well (very nice man- I got lucky after trying for 3 days & nights) and I just paid my AOS fees I am so excited!!! But I wasn't able to pay for my IV Fee yet... Hope in a couple of days I can.... WHEEEE WHOOOO

nita, you were able to email ur ds3032 choice of agent already.. how did you know it was ok to email.. the nvc mesage said ur ds3032 was generated?

my mesage says pls allow 6-8 weeks for beneficiary to receive info..
im sad...
do i wait a few days..

Hi Hyd... Don't be sad the right message will come soon for you, they assigned your case number 2 days after us so I think you might have the message you need it in a couple of days, probably by next update. I been noticing that perhaps they NVC does their update every Monday, I could be wrong.
We got the following message on Wednesday Morning, " DS-3032 was sent to the Beneficiary oversea and the AOS and a copy of the DS-3032 was sent to the Petitioner. We can not process your case further until we received the AOS fee.
My Hubby send them an email yesterday and I finally got the Invoice ID Number last night and paid it this morning.

I think you should have it by early next week Don't worry, but I know how you are feeling. Do you have that Invoice ID number already?

Try at around 4:30pm Pacific to around 6:00pm Pacific (7:30pm Eastern to 9:00pm Eastern) I tried all hours but I couldn't get through after 7:00pm pacific the night before or they wouldn't give it to me during business hours for 2 days. Then yesterday I called right before I left work at around 5:30pm Pacific and a very nice man gave it to me with no hassle. If you get this IIN then you can right away pay online and save you time that you are waiting now

I called at just after 4:00 Eastern Time assuming that NVC folks from the morning (7:30 AM - 4:00 PM?) may have completed their shift.

I got a very sweet & polite person lady, who immediately gave me the IIN. I just paid the Fees online.!

Besides this individual, I think the previous operators may not have seen the AOS Fees Bill on their system and so they may have been unable to provide the IIN. FYI, the automated system, said that my AOS Fees Bill was generated on April 28, 2008.

If someone else can confirm that NVC provies IIN only 2 days after the AOS Fees Bill gets generated, we can update James Shortcut page so that people won't waste time calling NVC.

I just got the message that gave me the nvc number... I sent the email, but I'm afraid I was too early. will this be a problem for me?
