Have you had a cough lately? You may just have a bit of a chest cold which can leave fluid in the lungs.

Yes I had flu about 6 weeks ago, but the medical people werent interested when I told them, i feel so well, im sure its not tb or pnewmonia like they suggest.

What follow up are they doing on it? Have you gone to your own GP?

On Wednesday they are getting a senior radiographer to look at my xrays, thats all I know at the moment.

I contacted my gp this morning and he said being british I would be extremely unlikely to get tb, I asked him what the treatment would be given to clear the fluid he said it would be antibiotics and if they dont move it they would need to drain the lung in hospital.

Awww Sally sorry to hear of your predicament. I'm sure everything will be fine but will be thinking of you all the same. Its awful that they are not really giving you much to go from, I wonder if they actually realize how difficult and stressful this process is without them keeping you in the dark. Fingers crossed that the senior radiologist gives the Dr a for not being able to work the machine properly and gives you the all clear tomorrow.

I had the female Asian doctor and she messed up my arm really bad when she took blood. After she pulled the needle out, my arm ached for days and turned, green, yellow, purple, all the colors under the sun, it looked like someone had severely punched me in the arm!

Thats the technologist fault they cut the side of your lungs out! I'm going into x ray school in a few weeks and my husband is a x ray technologist and it sounds like the technologist did a crappy job. Just make sure the technologist covers you with lead from the waist down. The technologist should have checked your x ray before you left, then you wouldn't have the trouble of going back to the doctors office to get a repeat.

I just called the clinic and asked for an update and they said the senior radiologer didnt go in last night, so I am none the wiser at this point.

I exlained that I am at the embassy tommorow and they said they will leave a message for me if they need to see me again.

I have started to take anitbiotics and it seems to be clearing my chest, so hopefully all will be ok.

I had my interview and was approved. Now they medical centre want to send me for a ct scan to see where the fluid on my lung is coming from, Im pertrified.

*hugs* Hopefully they're just being overly cautious and it'll turn out to be nothing serious. I hope they are able to give you an appointment soon.

I know this is a worrying time, but it is also a good thing. It is probably something which can be easily cleared up and has been found before it could become serious. It's good you had the x-ray and the people there found it.

I'm sorry this has delayed everything and put you under so much stress I know it's easy for me to say try to stay calm and that at least you can get some treatment (if need be) before you move to the US, and more importantly that your lung will be free of any fluid before you fly in a plane.

yes ty, its just taking the icing of the cake so to speak on my approval, but at least ill know im healthy when i go like you said, just scarey at the moment not knowing.

The only thing i would say its get the medical done early so you can clear any problems up before the interview.

Actually I think I will take your advice We have a tight deadline as it is.

Ok I had my ct scan today, omg i was terrfied. The injected me with some fluid because the doctor wants to see if the fluid is coming from anything else.

I feel very well and in my heart I truly think that If I had something nasty in my lung that I would feel something, maybe I am wrong but thats my belief.

Now again its the waiting game for me till I get my results next week, I will keep this thread updated.

Thanks to all of you for your care and concern, it is very heartwarming when you are scared for your life.

I have been in this relationship with Jay for 7 years and all we want is to be together, we are both so worried about what the resullt might be and also if I will ever get my visa released to me.
