Hello fellow VSC filers,

As we've noticed there has been a slight trickle of approvals coming from VSC, which is superb .... well done VSC and a pat on the back for you good.gif

.... however, I just wanted to ask, as Pushbrk pointed it out last night, has anyone noticed that they may be going by the NOA1 dates ???? Pushbrk specifically said they do, and appears at times to not only know what he is talking about, but seems to know so much that I'm thinking he may work for USCIS eb0dfafc.gif obviously, I'm only basing my presumption on his input on this website.

This is an interesting point though, as a lot of those left from 2007 have NOA1's from December/January time, and that's what seems to be getting approved .... if you look at the NOA1 dates.

But most importantly, what I have noticed is, CSC K1 approvals are pretty much at a standstill, and yet CSC are pumping out the I-130 approvals .... and guess what ??? ..... VSC are beginning the slowdown by the looks of it on the K1's too .... don't want to get you all over excited, but are the floodgates about to open ??

Or am I just trying to over analyze a totally illogical situation ??

Although, I am not in the same boat you are I have wondered the same thing. I just would like to know how they are doing this. Is there a method to their madness? I just saw someone for a K1 visa get approved and their NOA1 date was 3/8/08 at Vermont. We sent our to CSC at the beginning of February 2008. I'm trying to stay positive and not get discouraged, but it's hard sometimes. I think I would feel better if I knew how and why they did the things they did. But I guess we will never know. wacko.gif

Ilya, I think we should see what happens in a couple of weeks. The K1's haven't stopped completely at VSC yet, but the wheels at last are beginning to slow down ..... I'm still skeptical to a certain degree, but, this does seem to be a good sign.
Plus you've a January NOA1, if my guess work and Pushbrk is correct, it shouldn't be too much longer ..... ClockWatch2.gif

I am a K-3 filer but have had a couple of touches on my I-130 in the last 2 days from VSC. Today though I got an RFE. Dont know why but at least they must be working on our case. So Sarah Jayne may well be right about some approvals starting to come through as we are in that time frame she pointed out. Maybe they were ready to approve ours but wanted some extra evidence, and may well do it when we mail it back. I will let you all know when I find out what they want.
Anyway - it does seem to appear that things may start to move at VSC.

Dave, you've had touches ?? .... the last couple to get touches who mentioned it yesterday were approved within hours of starting their 'touched' thread!!! ..... oh I hope there's no RFE, and just an approval notice.
My fellow Cornishman, I really wish you well on this one ..... this little Cornish Maid is really excited for you dancin5hr.gif ... this sounds promising, maybe my insane analyzation could be right blink.gif

Got another touch today on the I130!!!
That's 2 days in a row. Could it be that my case is moving along??

Still nothing on the I129F unsure.gif I really want the k3, but I guess at this point I can handle either.

Cornishman......you received an RFE?!?!?!?! after this long of waiting? you we're notified by mail or email? Just wondering in case this may happen with me. Good luck. Maybe some approvals are on the way.
000
I really hope they approve you Jon, you are way overdue, even if you get an RFE thats better than nothing because atleast then you can be almost sure you will get the approval after you submit the evidence.
Cornishman
RFE by email, so we have to wait for the hard copy to find out what its all about. Apparently that could take 10 days to arrive. I had a touch late last night just before going to bed on the I-130, and another today which was the RFE. Nothing on the I-129f since 9th April, which I think was an address change. Oh - I wonder if thats got something to do with it? Who knows, I'll guess I'll find out in a week or so and I will let you all know then. I do think you are right though Sarah Jayne and I'm sure things will start to happen soon. Jon - two days of touches can only be a good thing. You are well overdue and I bet you'll be telling us all of an approval in the next few days. I hope so!

Sarah, I really hope that VSC pump out aproovals like CSC. I hope all of us get our too along with CSC members. I hate being apart from my husband. Unfortunely, VSC is the slowest of all. even the TSC is up ahead. Hopefully VSC will start to move sooner then we think.

I think you are right Sarah good.gif Now people started posting their approvals star_smile.gif BTW, I had a "touch" on my I-129F yesterday, but the status still shows "Case received and Pending". I wish it should stay like that until the interview is over, so that no confusion with K-3. star_smile.gif

BTW, I need an expert advice - should I inform anybody (VSC, NVC or U.S Consulate) in writing to invalidate the pending I-129F ???

Just to let you know guys ...I spoke to one of VSC officers yesterday ..by using RFE...first of all he does not know what he is talking about ..He told me he cannot give any info on my case ...call same number but donot enter receipt number ...or check on online ....blah blah ..etc

Secondly he told me they donot have enough staff....hiring more ppl and training them at another facility ...bringing them back to work ...this process is going to take 2-3 months ...then things may get better...etc

Sarah and LOTO ...etc...here is an idea I think we need to suggest USCIS(VSC etc) ...we can do volunteer work (without pay ) for a week or so ...rotating all VJ'ers every week at service centers ...that way gov save money and it reduces ISD symptoms lol rofl.gif rofl.gif rofl.gif rofl.gif rofl.gif ....I am ready for volunteer work lol

Reehon, just hold on for a bit longer .... you've got an NOA1 date a few days before I have in February ..... it really looks like they're moving on the December NOA1's ..... and hopefully there should be some more approvals on those in the coming couple of weeks .... then it'll be the turn of the January NOA1's (of which there doesn't seem too many of) .... and then it's us February NOA1's.
Let's see where we are on May 31st .... just 4 more weeks Reehon and we should hopefully have a much better idea.
Relax my lovely .... I too hate being apart from my Husband, and we all know on here just how much it burns.

Over the next couple of weeks, just start preparing your paperwork for NVC, it will keep your mind off it all

Look at my thread here and start getting your stuff together, as that will save you panicking when you do get approved

Loto, personally, I'd let the I-129F ride and see what happens .... there really haven't been much in the way of K3 approvals out of VSC, if any, you could be one of the few ..... but then your I-129F could be in the hands of a dyslexic laughing.gif

I'd love to show you a happy face on here before your vacation .... but I'm guessing another few weeks (maybe around the end of May) .... unless VSC starts going hell for leather .... which is possible, they've done it before, and they could do it again.
It would be great if my file was in the hands of 'your' adjudicator .... that person was fast!
At least NVC has a faster system in place which will shave off time.

I think we'll all feel a lot happier when we see a few more VSC approvals.

Hehehe, cool Sarah rofl.gif rofl.gif rofl.gif

I also think that California is approving petitions based on NOA 1 dates. All the recent approvals from California have been for people having had there NOA 1 between Feb 9 and 12th. I have no idea what is going on at Vermont since they are not approving petitions. I just wish Vermont would start working at the same pace as California.

Kman, they are definately approving petitions .... and the evidence is there. Just check out Delicia's spreadsheet http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=pUr...RR7hdWQYg3KbwRg

VSC are working on NOA1 dates if you look closely, so far they're mostly working on December/January NOA1's .... maybe not as fast as CSC but there are definately approvals .... there's been the odd February NOA1 thrown in for good measure.
Maybe once they truly slowdown with the K1's we'll notice the difference.

LOL ....sarah ..is VSC opening floodgates .... unsure.gif unsure.gif ...damn but I donot have floodinsurance though.. rofl.gif rofl.gif rofl.gif i guess i need to stay in upstairs... rofl.gif

RFE is Request for Evidence. If you miss any necessary docs, or application is incomplete, the agency can send you a letter as an RFE.

If it is RFE line you are talking about, it is fooling their phone system to get into a "meaningful" live operator. Because front desk guys are donkeys laughing.gif

You're still Sep filer. There was a huge backlog to generate NOA1 for those who filed between July and December 2007 due to the tremendous no of applications because of the fee increase. Nothing wrong in your case. Now they are approving the cases in random. So you never know when you'll get the approval ! I pity on you due to your 226 days wait... USCIS is totally useless !!!

Thanks so much, I feel a little bit better. It's just I have two kids with my husband and like many of you my life is on hold. This is so stressful. I am so glad I found this forum I felt so alone and confused about everything. Do you guys honestly think I am close to an approval??

It's ok, cmoncada, we all have to help each other out through this thing! I hope you're NOA2 comes soon! I will say a prayer for yours tonight along with mine!

As far as what to have ready for the NVC step, check out the NVC guide on the Guides tab on the home page. There is a lot of good information there about what you and your spouse will need. Also, if you Wiki "James Shortcuts" on the Wiki tab, it also has a list of what you can get together ahead of time.

Good luck and hang in there! good.gif

Hi there, read some of SarahJaynes funnies. your will laugh so hard you will cry from joy,
hang in there, just remember, your not in this alone, you have all of us who completely understand how you feel.
Feel free to rant and rave, slam USCIS, and VSC. we all have numerous times. Its good therapy, then again so is drinking. "Just kidding" well maybe not.

If you want to insult your abusive boss, tell him he is an incompetent git that cannot count 1 to 10 or even order invoices from old to new, and therefore he should direct VSC!

He'll perhaps take it as a compliment, we all know it is not meant as one! ;-)

Hey guys, think this will affect us on getting approvals ? blink.gif http://www.ndtv.com/convergence/ndtv/story...2011:48:00%20PM

Im just not sure how to answer that, do I think it will make a difference for us? No, I try not to think that it will, I would expect some type of order with USCIS, and with the backlog that they are trying to fix they really dont have extra hours to give for those people in that department, I mean, I would feel really awful if instead of the normal time for them they were forced to go longer than the 8-12 months that some of the people on this forum have to deal with innocent.gif To be honest I really hope that they have different departments dealing with different applications, I really do.

Correct me if i'm wrong but I counted about (15) I-130 VSC approvals for April. I trully hope it is like Sara says.

The H1-B influx was couple of weeks back, they should be pretty much through it by now
Anyhow, NVC and TSC also deal with the H1-B, so the workload will have been split up considerably ..... surely the only reason VSC would still be working on H1-B's would be if all of those applications were for New York ??? .... we all know it would probably be a split between LA and NY ..... CSC are through theirs and are rocking though I-130's
Kitty, I really can't see this affecting us now

If you're talking about the backlog around July/August .... they are totally through all of that. That would've been finished up around January/February looking at the approvals .... the fees went up in July 2007 right? We don't have a lot of June 2007 filers on this site do we ??? they are what would've been the backlog.
Sadly the backlog did delay our NOA1's. more so for the August - October filers ..... and if these guys are definately going by NOA1, then it's a bummer!! ..... but if you look at Delicia's spreadsheet which I've pinned a couple of postings back, the approvals are without a doubt coming through for NOA1's in December/January

I think we should be counting from the date VSC received our applications, not Chicago lockbox. They received a lot of applications in the short period of two months, so I think maybe it created another backlog. My application(I'm a January filer) and the application of someone from September are received just month apart at VSC.So even if there are really couple of months between filing at VSC it's just a month or so.IMO that is the reason why approvals are so random. But that also happened at CSC and they are still much faster than VSC.I certainly hope that H1-b visas won't affect processing of I-130.
