Hello Everyone,
Maybe if we just say "good" things about VSC maybe our luck will change, our slamming them have not helped. Im going to try to be pisitive and say good things about VSC. I'll start: Um, okay, will post good thing later. wacko.gif

Personally, I think that everyone in VSC should get a medal for all their hard work.
I am so totally in awe of the job they have to do .... it must be awful to go to work everyday, and it doesn't matter how many files you approve, there are always ten more to replace the one you've just finished.

I'm sorry VSC that I didn't put something a little special in my file for you .... it could've gone towards the coffee expenses that I'm sure are very high .... or maybe some nice new state of the art, ergonomic keyboards which would enable you to input the information faster.

I'm also very sorry for taking the piss out of Mr. Paul Novak the Director of VSC and making him look a bit a like a dickhead a couple of weeks back ..... I hope he doesn't think too badly of me, but he did deny my expedite, so I was feeling a little resentful. However, I'm sure he's a really lovely guy, and must be a very attractive and powerful man to be in the position he is in.

I'm also very sorry for rabble rousing on a public US Immigration website and delving into USCIS's little secrets that they want to keep from everyone, and unravelling them. I'm just a curious girl who likes a bit of a challenge, and loves problem solving.

I'm sorry that I accused VSC of employing dyslexics and blind people, but I was a little bored that day and had drunk far too much coffee. However, the blind people fumbling around so they could answer the pnonelines was a little amusing I'm sure you can't deny.

And of course, I'm very sorry that I have called the USCIS system a pile of old crap, and have implied that I could run a better agency. I'm sure I was just getting ahead of myself, and that whoever put the system together was extremely intelligent and thoughtful.

Im with you Shrewd, and they bad thing is that no one can do anything, even if someone filed their application on Aug 1st nothing can help it. According to USCIS people are not even allowed to make a service request until 30 days after the posted processing times. Congress men can do nothing until you are current or past their processing times either. The most frustrating thing of all is to see so many people after July-Nov. getting approved. Its very good for them and I am glad that things worked out for them but I cant help but feel like my life is always going to be as it is now, I have gone from 155 pounds to 120 in 3 months so its easy to see im not eating anymore, I dont sleep but maybe 3 hours a night no matter how much I drink, and pretty much I have just given up on life. Sad really that im so weak that I let a process control the way I am but that process is my life right now. I really just cant take it anymore, works out better for my wife if she is a widow really, she gets to be near the person she will marry afterwards and no one in her family will look at her funny because she got a divorce.

Shrewdgal, I was having a laugh .... This system is hard for all of us, and I'm just trying to lighten it up.
The approvals are happening and hopefully there will be more this week (it's only monday today) .... you've got a January NOA1, and you know that they are processing those currently as the timeline shows exactly that.
If you don't have your approval by the end of the month then I'll be very surprised.

Easier said than done I know, but no it wouldn't be better for your wife to be a widow or get a divorce .... life is going to throw you curveballs and this is just one of them.
There will always be times when life will beat you to your knees .... this just one out of a few times that you will feel at a loss .... the trick is to be able to get back up and face it head on. Never give up!

I agree, I sometimes feel like I can't do this anymore. Working two jobs trying to take care
of our two kids, living with in laws and missing mty husband like crazy. I dont know how
much longer I can hang in there. Everyone says to stay strong and hopeful but it is easier said
than done. I have even thought to myself " Well if we dont make it at least I can bring him here to
be with his kids". I hate that I think like that at times. It just hurts so bad to wait and wait and wait.

Shrewdgal, the time you guys have been waiting is just stupid, and (sorry VSC) I think the system is a pile of old crap.
But, you cannot let distance affect your marriages like this, and you cannot let a pile of old crap system get the better of you.
All of you are more than capable of holding this together, you've come this far and that is admirable!
The system has been pointed out to be a little more transparent than we thought originally, as at least now we know how they work. The sh**ter in this is the extra time you guys have been waiting, but this time will not last forever.

000 if you're feeling as bad as you are, I suggest you go to the movie store and get yourself a copy of the movie 'Gladiator' out and watch it .... and if that doesn't help, then go and get 'Rocky' out.
You really need something to bring back your fighting spirit!
Worst comes to the worst I can always go all 'Army Strong' on you .... you've got me worried and I'll do all I can to help.

Hugs for both of you rose.gif

Hi guys.
We got an RFE last Wednesday 30th April. Today our lawyer received the letter from USCIS and all they wanted was a certified copy of our marriage certificate. I believe we sent a photocopy of the original. This has already been sent back to them so hopefully we will be back in the game asap. I'll keep you all posted.
Cheers

oops8rh.gif naughty English girl headbonk.gif headbonk.gif ..... however, we all know that I won't get approved within 14 days .... but then ... maybe ... it would be very funny if I was rofl.gif

Who said sarah is bad girl ..................no wayyyyyyy no0pb.gif no0pb.gif ..Sarah is good girl she deserves right away approval yes.gif yes.gif ..all those words came out of her mind to her fingers b/c of frustration out immigration system ...(ISD) tongue.gif

Thanks Sgr, you're a star!!! star_smile.gif
I think we all have Immigration Stress Disorder, and I've mentioned it before .... I think a mass Tort Lawyer would make a fortune out of this situation we all have to go through.
Till then, VSC and USCIS can just deal with me taking the piss out of them, because really, I know I could do a much better job at running this system (as a lot of us on here could) ..... there's a challenge USCIS!!! I've thrown down the gauntlet .... if you want your system running like a well oiled machine within weeks, then put me in charge! eb0dfafc.gif

Sarah, Sgr and Paris, Already Gonzales pic is in my underwear rofl.gif rofl.gif rofl.gif I got approval since he left USCIS rofl.gif rofl.gif rofl.gif

me tooo i got approved after he left!!! im sure many more approvals will come thru...

Thanks Paris. Just glad it was something really easy to correct. Fingers crossed for all our VSC approvals to start coming through. Surely it's our time now?!!!!!!!!!!

Cheers
Dave

Dave, bugger, I guess I can add that to my list of RFE things. I sent a photocopy too.
Bloody shame you got an RFE at all like Paris said, but at least it's easy to fix.
Am looking forward to hearing about your approval very soon my fellow Cornishman.
You keep that flag flying for Kernow my lovely

I thought that they only needed a photocopy of the marriage certificate, to be honest I thought that they only wanted copies of everything. This worries me a lot because I sent photocopies of everything. crying.gif

You're not the only one, I did too .... infact, I now think my packet was a complete mess and I'll be held up in RFE land for the foreseeable future when they get to me .... just prepare everything for an RFE, that way you'll be able to get it all to them ASAP! But do bear in mind, that not everyone gets RFE'd for this.
cmoncada
I just sent copies of everything too. Oh this is frustrating.

Oh Sarah, No, I pray you dont. If I get RFE it's for no copy of back of birht cert. "I did tht too Sarah" and I forgot on the G-325A forms bottom of form with heavy lined black box to put his name on his and my name on mine, for the I-130 petition.
Oh yeah, no picures in plastic bags, on both petitions I-130 & I-129F I took stock of those suckers this weekend, Ha Ha
The rest Im just praying is alright Sarah. But did include cert. copy of our marrige license. Thank God for small favors.

I sent only photocopies of everything as part of I-130 process. I don't think it is an issue, all depends on which donkey gets your application rofl.gif rofl.gif rofl.gif

This was my list:

1. Completed and signed form I-130
2. Filing Fee $355 payable to U.S. Department of Homeland Security
3. Copy of my Naturalization Certificate to prove the U.S citizenship
4. Completed and signed form G-325A and photograph of the petitioner
5. Completed and signed form G-325A and photograph of the beneficiary
6. Copy of our Marriage Certificate
7. Copies of Affidavits sworn to or affirmed by third parties having personal knowledge of the bona fides of the marital relationship
8. Copy of my Birth Certificate
9. Copy of beneficiary’s Birth Certificate, School Record and Passport
10. Copy Certification (FC-029)
kman
I did not include my or my wife's birth certificate since it was not in the instructions. Should I expect RFe for this?

I didnt even know FC-029 was still valid or used, oh well if i get an RFE for it its not a problem because i have 3 "originals" of our marriage certificate. Im just glad that when we got our marriage certificate I thought ahead of time and just got a few of them.

Paris, it looks like you and me are flying by the seat of our pants laughing.gif I hope we get the adjudicator who isn't pedantic ... guess we'll find out soon hopefully.

I've lost track now how many things I have to prepare for the possible RFE .... I thought it was just plastic bags blink.gif .... to be honest, I do find this all a bit gay .... how many copies and certified copies and originals do they want ???? (NVC want it all again remember) ..... plastic bags vs paperclips ...... probably best to do up a whole new packet with certified originals of everything to send with it all being absolutely perfect .... oh, yeh .... I didn't photocopy my last one, so I have no idea what I wrote on there and it's possible I could've made a mistake and left something out as I was in a rush ... so they'll probably add another RFE for that thinking I'm trying to screw with their system.

Goodness gracious, this all certainly a challenge ..... next they'll want us to provide a small bullock and a virgin eb0dfafc.gif
JimAndCarol
Well, for the sake of us all, I really hope the VSC floodgates are opening up. I got another touch today. Will post if I find out its an RFE.

To me, anything is better than seeing that 2/24 date.

Keep looking... Yours is next smile.gif

That's great news .... I hope I'm in your box as it would be good to know if I've truly screwed this all up or not.
02/24/2008 is now going to be associated with trauma and I've given up looking everyday as it was starting to 'do my box in'.
There's definately a lot of touching coming from VSC which was something none of us had really heard of up until lately .... very good sign as it means 'someone' is doing 'something'.

Not only is California approving IR, they just approved whole bunch of K1 over the past 3 days. It feels like California just finished something and moved there adjudicators to these catergoies now.

Oh no! I fear I've caused everyone to start worrying about RFE's. Please dont! I'm sure this doesnt happen to everyone. I just got unlucky and hopefully it's resolved quickly anyway.

After careful consideration USCIS has decided not only to close the floodgates but to also lock them and keep the guarded at all times. This decision came after they realized that people would actually be happy with something the government did. Upon realizing this they came up with an immediate plan to keep as many people as they can miserable. The opening of the floodgates is now scheduled for some time after celebrating Americas 3000th year as a country.

Oh, that's why all Crown Royal and Jack Daniels were sold out at my liquor store. Paris, you drink a lot now-a-days laughing.gif laughing.gif laughing.gif

I just provided my list of docs, some are optional. Normally, I do send extra stuff (don't misunderstand, I mean additional docs), because that wouldn't damage anything. If they don't want them, they will put in trash can. I hope they would shred it at least rofl.gif rofl.gif rofl.gif

I'm moving there with a Kernow flag, just to see what comments I get.
