I've been doing all of the above for about 8 weeks, explaining that I am pregnant, no luck either. Then I asked my lawyer to try; he said the only interviews which can be expedited are ones involving military deployment of the petitioner. Good to know military deployment trumps pregnancy! Anyway, I gave up too, seems like a waste of time. Let us know if you have any luck.

Ok so he WAS APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!!!! I spoke with him yesterday and he said they let everyone in about 8am and then he had to hand in all the paperwork to be checked and the bottom half of the DS-156K was filled out for him and he had to sign infront of the employ checking the paperwork. Then they got called in by groups of 15 into another waiting area where they were called to be interviewed. When it was his turn they called his name and he had an American gentleman interview him who told him to speak Spanish slowly because he had only taken a 6 month course. Then he started asking him questions about how we met, how many times I had traveled to Cuba, when was the last time we saw each other, if he was part of "La Juventud", also I had faxed a letter to them requesting that they move up his appointment because my mom needs brain surgery, so they asked him what my mom suffered from that she needed surgery. Also, in that letter I accidentally wrote the word husband instead of fiance and they questioned him about whether we were married or not, so if any of you ever email or fax them be careful what you write because they defenitly keep records of that stuff. Then after all the questioning he told him congratulations he was approved and that he needed to come back the following day at 2pm to pick up his passport with his visa. I am so excited!!! All we need is the final step, la carta blanca, and he is here!!!

I want to thank everyone on this site who helped me get through this long process and for posting their experiences which helped me a lot in getting ready for all of this and I wish everybody luck who is still waiting.

Oh I forgot to say that when they finished checking his paperwork, they took his fingerprints.
