Just thought i'd start this thread up as my fiance will be sending the K1 petition in the first week of May. Good luck to all who does also. Will keep you posted and updated.
Well here we are. It's May. Anyone else out there filing in May like myself?
I am not a May filer, but good luck to you and your fiancée and may you receive a fast approval.

I remember feeling very nervous when we filed. Shortly afterwards I kept thinking about how I could've put the package together better and I still don't like looking at the copy we made! But so long as you follow the guides you'll be okay and once it's at the service centre there is little point in worrying about it and your fears will hopefully subside.

The feeling is horrible! This is our second time filling! The first time was not a happy experience!! But hopefully this time things will well!

I'm trying to figure out realistically from when we file, which will be around the 7-9th May how long it will take for the visa is in my hand (If all goes well) Anything before the end of the October i will be delighted with. Is just over 6 months too realistic or is that a reasonable time frame?
Sounds reasonable for Vermont. 
The majority of January Vermont filers have had their interviews scheduled for May/early June, so I'd say 6 months is realistic. Just remember not to rely on that timeframe!

We filled in May, send off the package on May 2 to the Vermont Service Center. I was really nervous when we brought it to the post office. Hope we didnt make any mistakes filling the forms out. Good luck to everybody.
Well after about a month of preparing, our big day of sending the K1 will be today (8th may) We have gone through everything with a fine tooth comb and we hope and pray everything looks good and dont get any RFE's.

We posted ours on 30th of april but as our NOA1 is dated may the 1st i guess
we count as may.I'm just glad we have finally started our journey.

I'm also a May filer in California. I was surprised that they cashed the check so fast and received my hard copy in 5 days.

We just filed our I-129F last Monday in Vermont...we're really praying hard to get ours approved soon... and yes,good luck to all of us May filers!!

Good Luck May filers. Make the most of this stage right now (Cheques...NOA1...) once you start getting your knickers in a twist about NOA2 its a downward spiral, waiting is not good for my mental health. Us March filers will try and clear out fast so we can get your cases on the desks quick.

Anyone who filed in May received there NO1 yet? Just trying to figure out how VSC is getting on with May filers. I know its early days yet lol.
This is my first post on this site, and I'm hoping another topic for May filers hasn't already been posted. I'm a newbie, yet I've been researching this site for a while. It's a great site and everyone on here seems so nice and helpful.

Don't worry!! I had the same thoughts last week and I was sure that something had happened, but we sent out I129F on May 5, and it got there the 6th, but P Novak didn't walk it down from the mailing room till the 7th
Our cheque was cashed on Saturday (may 17th) and from the fliling number stamped on the back of it *my fiance has digital online scans of his cheques* we found out that we got out NOA1 on the 14th, but we didnt get it in the mail until yesterday (19th).
We also got our first touch yesterday (19th) so I promise just wait a couple days and you should have your stuff!!! Keep the faith and we'll all hopefully get through this fast!

Easy tiger. Your package was signed for on Friday. Probably processed on Tues./Wed., and NOA1 placed in the mail Thurs. or Fri. I will almost guarantee you from our experiences in April that you will have it before the end of this week.
The slowdown appears to be true. But remember over 50% of Vermont March VJ filers have been approved with an average of 45 days, and we just had our first April filer approved yesterday at about 40 days from NOA1. So I think a full 60 days plus a little is going to be the going rate for most of us.
But, keep in mind there are those still waiting from Dec. and Jan., and CSC is almost certainly a four month wait, though getting better.

It took quite a while to get my NOA1 back from them. The check was cashed more than a week before I received an NOA1 in the mail. Hopefully you will be getting yours soon or see that the check was cashed!
