I was just thinking... How many hits per day does USCIS webpage get??? I mean there are at least 3 a day from me alone... And I am not even close to been approved.... Wonder what will happen when we get closer to that date range in August or even better July smile.gif No penalty for hoping smile.gif.

For those tracking opening times smile.gif... they do work at home, too (or so was said). Hope that will encourage some of us smile.gif

It's been an ugly day here in Ukraine - so dark and gloomy, matches my mood sad.gif... Hope everyone else is staying positive. Now am going to go and look up that Mel Gibson movie everyone is talking about smile.gif

The “Mel Gibson” Movie is pretty good! Is not one of my favorite movies but I was having miserable day yesterday ( was missing my john to much) so I had to get myself busy with something!
Cant wait to see SEX AND THE CITY the movie!

In my aussie homeland it is now 1:11am tomorrow (June 24)

But I am waiting for our NOA2 in Edinburgh Scotland where it is 4:11pm. (June 23)

My love is mowing hay in Michigan and it is 11:11am (June 23)

And for my folks on contract in South Africa it is 5:11pm (June 23)

No wonder I don't know if I am coming or going.

Exactly and because of flex time they can start earlier, as early as 6am in the offices. However I always go by the theory my adjudicator starts at 8:30am.

Yes I have decided to claim ownership. Even though I don't know the person I pray they are having a good day when they get to us.

Guys, you are just too funny smile.gif

DairyFarmer How do you do it? I mean how do you figure out the times so precisely? I am so bad with it. The only thing that helps me right now is the fact that my laptop time is set to match Orlando smile.gif. When I was in the States I honestly tried to figure out the time difference to call my mom during decent hours and still her phone was ringing at the break of day smile.gif. And I'm supposevely really good with math too smile.gif

Alex I want to see SEX and the CITY so badly... But they are showing shortened version and in stupid stupid Ukrainian translation. They just recenlty passed the law that all movie theatres have to show only Ukr. translation as opposed to previously used Russian. Thus it is very hastily done and uses many weird words that can really spoil the impression from the movie. crying.gif So I have to wait!!! And really can't, I love Carrie and the gang so mucho smile.gif. Already made Dave promise to buy me a DVD once it comes out smile.gif.

AS to the shoes, am already stocking up for my move to the US - recently bought three pairs smile.gif I just can't find gorgeous and affordable shoes in the States. I mean, I wish I could afford those Jimmy Choos or Manolos smile.gif Hm, maybe one day when I get rich and famous smile.gif

Ok, my dear VJ friends thanks for distracting me from work for a moment here smile.gif Back to writing I go smile.gif

Jenni and Bo
Hi all!

Glad to see everyone is still in a good mood! I'm feel pretty good today, it's starting to get quite warm here though, so sleeping to prep for my 12 hour backshifts is getting a bit harder ( I hate being too warm when I sleep).

William_Wallace: I am so jealous that you saw Mel Gibson...and in '95...he would have been pretty prime smile.gif I was a young'un then, so it wouldn't have mattered anyway though smile.gif *I still thought he was a dreamy thing though whistling.gif *

The Sex and the City movie was fabulous smile.gif We had a girls' night out the first night it opened. 6 of us went together, and we waited in the line for an hour and a half to get prime seats. I might live in a small city, but every girl and woman here was trying to see that movie first night lol smile.gif I adore the shoes on the movie, but have given up wishing for them for my self. I have pretty big ol' feet and they wouldn't be getting crammed into some of those lovely shoes crying.gif

Bo said to say hi to everyone! smile.gif He's in Minnisoda for training for his new promotion. He's there all week, so we will have to limit it to evening calls. He missed hsi first day today though because his flight was grounded for 6 hours last night due to weather. He was not a happy camper, but he'll live.

I've had mixed emotions about progress this week.. My adjudication date on my VJ timeline has moved back from around july 31 and now it's saying Aug 4 as the earliest, but on the other hand, we went from 151 on Igor's list to 138! so I'm still feeling positive..also the wait times in Montreal *the VJ average* has went from 116 days to 104 I think? so also good!
My countdown is more on for my trip smile.gif 26 days till I get to go back to NC to spend 2 weeks with Bo in our new apartment! YAY! Now if only I wasn't so broke....

I used to try to keep it straight but now have personalised my igoogle homepage. If in doubt go to google and ask the time. ie What time is it in Boston, mass, US and immediately you get an answer. But I have my igoogle homepage set for weather and time in all places.

As for shoes have you checked out Target.com, I swear gorgeous and affordable. (And you can buy on-line) Throw in Walmart (not kidding) and you find little gems which are the 'current fashion' at a fraction of the price so you can wear them to death.

But oh for some Choos, Manolo's, Marc Jacobs, or my current fav Christian Louboutin. :lust:

Thanks a lot for the tips smile.gif I just realized that I've never been to Target shoe department, even though shopped there at least once a week smile.gif I usually shoped Macy's sales and all-time fav. Payless smile.gif They don't last that long but are so cool looking smile.gif.

So, I have to go to a wedding this Friday. Going to be another rough day sad.gif. At least finally found all bits and pieces for my own civil ceremony dress and my designer friend can start cutting and sewing smile.gif. At times I feel like this wait is never going to end. But than I see all those approvals coming in for other ppl and start believing again smile.gif Have a marvelous Tuesday everybody smile.gif

I adore Marshals, and TJ Maxx , and Ross... Orlando is great just because they have all those designer outlets, too... But sometimes even $500 for a D&G pair seems a bit expensive when you can get look-alikes for $35 smile.gif

Ok, I am starting to sound like Becky Bloomwood from Kinsella's Shopaholic books... Anybody read those?

I'm doing good. Working, missing Dave, hating on USCIS (lol), same old smile.gif... How are you? Getting ready for your trip around Europe?

Kinsella's books are hillarious if you like chick lit (like Bushnell, Cabot or Weisberger). Same literature style as Devil Wears Prada. Its a series of five books about this girl who shops till she drops and always ends up in funny situations cause of her habits. I just love them!

I know that a touch doesnt mean that we got approved but just to hear that they are working on it makes me feel good. While it is very positive, I can't help but be realistic.

John was so excited he started making plans, it suxs when I have to bring him back down to earth. Nothing worse than inflated expectations.

On the whole though good news.
