I was so nervous this morning that I started to cry and did not wanted to get of the car, my stepfather had to hug me like I was I little baby! And everything was done in 10 min !

That’s when you realize that stressing your self up doesn’t make things easier or quicker!!!

Just called the Embassy, spoke to a very nice lady ... nothing in their electronic filingsystem yet and she didn't find our hardcopy. I know by tracking DHL there was a delivery from NVC yesterday. Told her we called NVC monday and they said it left that very same day. She told me it might take a couple of days before it reaches the Consular Section when it's being delivered. So back to being patient, seeing the end of this journey nearing but having no clue how much longer it will take.

Currently waiting for pack 4. As the NOA2 on the 22nd of September rather surprised us (online status is still showing received and pending) we only faxed the doc checklist in on the 6th of October. Still hoping to soon hear back and maybe still get an interview date for this month, would mean I can wrap things up here and move to the US by the end of December.

She said to try back in TWO weeks. Anyone know normal timeline between NVC and Embassy having the case?

Yevginey, I was approved 8 days before you. I called the call center on Tues. the 5th and got the interview date. It took about 4 minutes to schedule it all. You get 8 minutes when you purchase the calling card. For the $12 dollars for 8 minutes I was going to keep calling everyday but struck gold first try. First thing they asked was our KEV#. If it is not in the system, you will only use 30 seconds of time. At worst case you spend an extra $12 and can call everyday. You were approved 8 days after me, so you should be entered in next week. I know, in a perfect world. They are only a month out for interviews. Good luck.

Yevgeniy ... Our file got stuck at NVC for a couple of weeks. We had our approval the 10th of September, NVC received our case the 12th. Greg received 2 letters in the mail (post) dated the 17th that our case would be transferred to the Embassy within the week. That didn't happen! Last week I called the Embassy to ask what was up and they didn't receive anything, nothing electronic, no hardcopy ... Greg called the NVC, the file was still being processed there. I called back on Friday, still the same. Monday (Oct 6th) Greg called again and they said it was sent out that day. I tracked DHL if something was on it's way to the Embassy ... and yes a package was delivered yesterday. I called the Embassy again today, and there was still nothing in their electronic filing system, and she didn't have the hardcopy on the Consular Section yet. So we're experiencing kind of the same thing here. Everything in this process takes time, some people are lucky to have their case being processed fast and smooth through all the different stages, including a fastworking Embassy ... some of us need to be more patient. I'm still waiting for the P3, a month after our approval ... and all I can do is hope it'll be mailed out to me soon.

Sandra - I know for Montreal they got my file on the 2nd, but I was told by other CDN's that they would not enter my file into the system until the 7th...I think there is always a few days hold up

Kirk - I will have an ok weekend - I have to work all of it, and it's the Thanksgiving weekend, so I'll have to have my turkey at work. I have my friend's bridal shower tomorrow, and a drink date on Sunday with friends. Do the boys have any games this weekend?

Hey Ana, i called the payline and paid 12$. Spoke for probably around 8 min. The girl Virctoria wanted all of our information so she could send a "LETTER" to see about our case???????? Whatever i think she was just dragging time so i could pay again next time. Hopefully i have some $ left just to call and find out if we're in or not. Please let me know right away if you get put in the system. I'll do the same.

What you need to do now is find out where your petition is at. You can contact NVC on Monday to see if they received it. Who knows, it might be on the way to China now! The number is 603 334 0700. Press#1 for English and then #5 !

Going to Halifax tomorrow, Medical Thursday morning at 11:10....I just want to get it over with so I dont have to dwell on how much money it's costing...

Lots to do to keep me busy, but I've been losing hope on an early interview...I don't think I'll get down before Christmas, and if thats the case, it looks like I will be working everyday of Christmas and new years...not really cheering me up at the moment...ah well

Nat, Let me be the first to say, about freakin time. I hope it clears NVC and gets to Moscow quickly. Then an interview before Christmas. It is a little too early in the morning to drink one for you, but I will drink one for you and Jack tonight. This will make life so much better. Again, I am glad to read your great news.

I submitted Packet 3 today (Oct 15) and my interview day was set for Oct 23. Yay!
Excited but also a little nervous. Any idea how long the interview usually takes and what kind of questions they ask?

Also congrats on a speedy interview Tinyrose. Each consulate is different in questions and length of interview, but mostly the questions will centre around your relationship with your SO - how you met, proof of the ongoing relationship etc. Don't be nervous I'm sure you'll do great.

Emailed Montreal again today...maybe they'll reply this time *sigh* Lets hope eh? Thanks for the well wishes Kirk..I know that you guys will win this race, maybe it will be closer with the AOS.

our petition is at the nvc, we have a ldn reference number. now we have to wait for it to arrive in london. i'm here in ms for another week, what do i need from here in the states? i'd rather get this stuff now and avoid having to pay to mail it later

i know i need his tax returns for three years, pay stubs (6 months?), employment letter, photocopy of his passport stamp. do we both need a notarized letter of intent, or is it just him? am i missing anything else? i'm so overwhelmed!

I have call to Embassy today, but anything new!
Girl told that call center didn't receive new number of cases. She told me that usually they receive numbers once
at week on Friday! So the best time to call then it is Friday afternoon or Monday. I received from Consulate e-mail yesterday, where they wrote that my case has been received by this office and Information Packet has also been mailed to my address by the regular mail on October 9, 2008. I haven't receive this Packet yet.
I hope my information will help.

I've been gone for a little while - visiting Vasya, my fiance, in Russia and have just returned home to the USA...

Our case has not had any updates/touches since Aug. 25! Should I call USCIS? What do you all suggest? What's the number and does anyone have any tips on what to say when/if i call???Has anyone else not been approved or have not been touched yet?

I am sooo worried and starting to become extremely frustrated! I was hoping we could be together by Christmas/New Years...

Anka, I understand the frustration. At this point if you call USCIS they'll just read you the nonsence off the scree (trust me, we did it ) and just say to call back when u've been waiting for six months. Urggg.... Just be strong, that approval should arrive any day now.

Alya, privet . In all honesty you confused me a little . So, embassy says they have your case and even sent you a packet last week, when call center doesn't? Is it some weird mis-communication within the embassy? CAuse for them to mail you a packet they have to have u in the system. Anyway, wouldn't trust Ukr. mail, lol. Anna! Thanks! I am sure you will get your approval soon too. We called USCIS last week and just listened to answermachine, because they don't give any extra information. Try to think positive and check the website. Our last update was on July 9th, and then they updated it on October 14th. It took 144 days. Don't worry much, though I understand it's difficult.
