We actually moved up earlier today compared to yesterday. Well, trying not to pay much attention to that, since there are still you April guys ahead of us

Sometimes VJ is a detriment. You see so much happening you forget the timeframes. But the community makes up for it.

Oh and I am almost positve my touches were just confirmation updates re change of address and job being added to the file.

Hi all

Hope everyone is well. I was reading people not recieving touches, and I don't think it's too much to worry about...A lot of filers from earlier in the year weren't getting touches before their NOA2's were issued, so I don't think we should be too worried.

On a happy note, I just wanted to say that I found out at work yesterday I have two weeks off in July (because of scheduling), so as much as that is not good for the financial side of things, I get to spend two weeks with Bo in July, in our new apartment

I'm very excited because I had been pretty down after I returned from my last trip to know I wouldn't see him this month (yes, I am spoiled that i have seen him so often, I'm not trying to rub it in people's faces)

So I'm going to start decorating and enjoy a vacay away from work for a bit...hopefully by that time, some of usMay filers may even be getting some very welcome news!

Anyone else have summer vacation plans with their loved ones?

It's official! We re in the system. Just got our NOA1. Man, does that feel good!!!

Now, I have a silly question, my sis is currently in the states on J1 summer program and is due to come back in September (She just left like two weeks ago). That shouldn't cause any problems on my petition, right?

LOL! Actually I'm at work right now, and I think it will be a furniture shopping night....I have to stay awake all night at my job!

I Didn't get a chance to do it the other day, I got called into work at the last minute, but I will let you know what I find...I want to find a really "couch-y" couch

Sitting around planning wedding stuff (we're having a larger wedding about a year or so after I get down there back here in Canada), so I need something comfy

I'm kinda hoping that I'll catch some summer sales

I will keep you guys updated on what I find!

It’s funny because we ware talking about the same!
For the moment I’m going to Florida but we are seriously thinking about the possibility of moving to Sweden! Things are much easier here!
What scares me the most is that florida have hurricane seasons, wish is really scary

, and I want my future children to grow up in a safe place!

It's scary living in any country. Were looking into everything and going to decide whats best in the long run. Each country has there pluses and minuses. I certainly looking forward to the heat there. Lara said to me yesterday it was 100 degrees there lol, I will crisp.

She would move here in a heartbeat if it wasn't for her kids. The air is cleaner, gun laws are strict, electricity is alot cheaper. My bill for this month was $80 compared to her $280. She would get free health here, the immigration process is only 3-4 weeks here and alot cheaper, plus you dont need advance parole.

As I said it's not easy to what to decide on. We will make the decision within 2 months I would think.

But after that I don’t know how much I will have to pay every month to get my medicine.

She lives in Summerville, just outside Charleston in South Carolina. I can't understand the health policy over in the States. For such a rich country they rip the eyes out if you. I was in Lousiana for 4 months and that was enough for me lol. Nothing against Lousiana but it certainly was an eye opener in different ways. I've been in a few countrys over the years and Lousiana certainly isn't on the top of my list. Sorry to hear you have epilepsy, must be hard on you that.

I can relate Alex, but you're in Florida - have your SO look at local pharmacies around town - the big name ones, like Wal*mart etc. Most big stores are doing the $4 generics and you don't even need insurance. I'm a diabetic, and with all my meds I'd be well into the $200 range each month, but my Glucophage is only $4 for a 30 day supply. Just get the name of the medication you're on and have your SO check with the pharmacies...

I'm definitely a big supporter to National Healthcare.

Hello my fellow-filers! How is everybody doing this week? Just wondering if anyone has any advice as to how kill time during this at times unberable wait. I tried working a lot, but had to stop that, cause my brain was about to explode from all the writing (I'm doing freelance writing on financial and stock market issues).

Maybe I just need a vacation, but that would be no fun at all without Dave

Thank you for the kind words. I completely agree with you! Going to the hospital here don’t cost anything! It’s amazing the prices that you have to pay in America when you get sick ! I remember when my heart stopped when I got a really bad seizure, (in florida) we had to pay the ambulance 500$ ….

Does anyone know how much it will cost me, to get health insurance? Because we are planning on having a baby (soon hopefully)…

As to health insurance, I have little experience but will share what I know

. I was able to get an insurance for a 18 months for a total of almost $800. But that was probably a student discount (I was on J1 program). Now, from what I hear purchasing insurance can be really expensive. If your hubby-to-be does not have insurance as work benefits, that is something to consider during your job search. Sometimes taking a lower-paying job can be compensated by the benefits. Most companies I worked for offered insurance for both employees and their families. Usually such benefits are available after 90 days of employment.

..edited to add.. that the comments on my times line read...."Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated between July 27, 2008 and August 4, 2008"

I'm certain that when I first plugged in all the info onto my timeline .. it gave me a adjudicated date much later than the end of July/early August... now it doesn't seem so far off.. since June 15 is only days away.. I alos know not to read the estimated dates as gospel, but it's still nice.

You actually made me go and look at my own timeline, and SURPRISE, it's showing earlier date. I kind of forgot to check that one, thinking that we are still in somewhat early stage. Hm... Maybe the seeming to slow down VCC is one a speed up agian? I'm surely hoping. Ok... this speculation is raising my hopes up again and I was almost fine with moving to the States by October, now am thinking maybe we'll get lucky....

Hi everyone!

It's good to see everyone still happy and patiently waiting

No news from our end, although, they do say "no news is good news" - so I'm hoping VSC is just gonna plow through a bunch at a time

The weather is really starting to get gorgeous here

Poor Bo though - it's been between 38-45 celcius (high 90's, 100's F) all week down there, and him with a broken A/C

my poor hot baby LOL

I went to a good friend of mines' wedding on Saturday and it was so beautiful! They had it outside and it was the perfect day for it...makes me excited for my own (hopefully) soon

Jen, o, my! Poor, poor Bo! When I lived in Florida my rommie once froze our AC and it was just unberable! Hope he gets it fixed sooeln.

It's wedding season in Ukraine, and everywhere I go there are happy couples celebrating new unions. Makes me sad and excited at the same time. Well, I just visited my dress maker to discuss my dress for the civil cermony (I really wanted something light and summery, and at the same time slightly formal). Am so excited that she agreed to work on the design I found, even though it is kind of complicated. Now, I just have to find suitable fabric. Can't believe my luck, I'll have an A-listish dress for a very tiny fraction of the cost

38-45 that is HOT, god I’m so jealous! The weather here is horrible we only have between 10 – 15 dgr.
Cant imagine driving in the heat without a A/C …

I’m getting my dress from Portugal, my grandmother live there and she is paying for the dress!
I haven’t decide what color I want any suggestions!?
We are getting married on the beach.

. And beach wedding sounds like so much fun! I dunno what color you should choose. I mean, brides are allowed to wear whatever they want this day, according to all those magazines. I guess just go with what suits you. That's what I'm going to do for my dress. It is blue in the pic I brought to my dress maker, but I'll just go to the store and see which fabric goes with my eyes. I'll just have to get Dave a matching tie

. We already talked about it and decided to have a lil' civil wedding and than save up and have a big one with my family flying down for the occasion. So the other day Dave mentioned smth about eloping, since we have a lot of friends in Orlando and lil' thing can easily turn into a big bash, and I'm already dreaming about just two of us sharing this experience after this long journey.

As he mentioned it, I immediately though about the beach. Maybe Key West, or St. Petersburg, or Fort Lauderndale... I'm lost here

So really nothing is impossible in this journey! You can get approved in 2 months or 2 years!

Yes, my grandmother is my angel!

There is so many deferent dresses out there… and they are all gorgeous.
We are going to get married On Marco island not to far way from Naples!
We don’t want anything big just a small little thing on the beach with our best friends and then we will have the big weeding here in Europe!
Key west is a beautiful island with stunning places to get married!

You are so welcome! Was so happy to see that Vermont is a life! Can you believe that they got approved in 55 days?
I’m sure I will find my dream dress, but like my grandmother said; “you will now as soon as you see it in front of you” and I think that she is right!
I did found a dress that I even tried on but I’m not sure! Can send you some pictures, and I would love to see how your dress looks like!
