run my brother and sister around, as they are lazy and don't have their licences *gah*

Oh yeah, I should sleep at some point too because I'm working a 12 hour backshift tonight LOL....

Steel: Well I have to like Canadian hockey teams...I think it would be almost sacriligious not to Bo is a California football fan (his home state), so I'm sure that's who I'll be cheering for maybe I'll get lucky and catch some CFL games online after I move...Us canadians can play football pretty good

im new to this pls help me. not sure if this is where i should post this but i'm posting it anyway. mine is a K1-visa and my son's was included in my petition and since he is only 15 yrs old he may derive immigration benefits from the same 129 petition. wants to prepare documentation for him in advance and dont knoq exactly what documents are these besides from his passports and certified copy of his birth certificates. what forms from the immigration i also need to fill out for his K2 visa or important information i should know by now...

You can go ahead and fill out the forms. I only got a letter from Frankfurt giving me my new case number. You actually dont get the papers anymore, you have to get them online. At least that is what i had to do. I had to go to usembassy.de and then to Immigrant Visas, then to K1 and on the bottom it says what to do when you got approved. There you find the documents.

I am still really confused what to send back and what not. If anyone send it back already let me know PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maddy ... I have to wait for the P3 since I have to send back the checklist.
In Belgium we need to send back: the checklist (checked off, dated and signed) and DS230 Part I (I believe this one needs to be signed) and at the same time pay for the visa and fill in DS-156 online and print it out. We don't have to send the DS156's, we have to take em to the interview with all the rest of the documents ... DS156's must be unsigned. That's all I know right now ...

I found that out, that I don't need to do the medical right now, I'm just so anxious and stressed out with everything right now that I misunderstood everything! But I did send out the PKT3 yesterday, the embassy should receive everything tomorrow, and hopefully by the end of this week I will receive my PKT4!

Anyway i just read in another thread that there is a chance that they won't approve the visa if fiance doesn't go to embassy with the applying person. Is that true? are you all going to the interview together or are the girls going all on their own?

Called the American embassy and asked them if Jonathan had to be at the interview, and they said it wasn't obligatory! No need to worry, there is a lot of people here on the visa journey that went to the interview alone and got approved!

Alex, I have no idea how busy they are. But I think it's kind of busy since they aren't returning e-mails ... We'll see. Thanks ... I hope it too
And yea I think it's mainly in the what they call ''visa-fraud'' countries that bringing the petitioner to the interview is a step ahead ...

Can my girl now get the Medical out of the way since she got the Kev number from the NVC? or does she have to wait for Packet 3 in her mail? She downloaded the packet and is doing everything in the packet? Can she mail the packet that she downloaded instead of waiting to receive it? Is it exactly the same or is there anything in the packet that they mail that is different?

You can try to find out by looking at others VJ members (from Belgium) timeline!

You r done with you medical already so when you receive the PKT3 you can pretty much return it the same day! Do you know how the Forms look like? Do you have all the documents of support from your sweetheart?

Sandra, I run a little search for you girl and apparently Belgium is not a popular country, lol. Not much info. Based on those few timelines from the past year, average is 53 days from NOA2 date to receiving visa. And now I'll be glad to go and kick some Belgian postal workers so they would hurry up and make your day

Yevgenij, first of all, she can go ahead and do the medical. As long as you have the KEV number, you guys are fine. We do not have packet 3, and stuff you got from the embassy webpage is the same thing they will mail out. I guess they don't trus our mail service, lol. As to going to the interview... Kiev embassy was reported to be pretty easy. If all your docs are in order and you have evidence of bona find relationship, they often ask no questions what so ever. Thus, it's not really necessary. I talked Dave out of it. I'd much rather he takes time off work when I get there.

I took a look at the others timeline and most of them got an interview appointment waiting 2 weeks after returning the pkt3.

Yevginey, you do not have to wait on packet 3. Just download it from the embassy website. In Kiev, there is no packet 4 anymore. Just a packet 3. When you are entered in the consulate system, then you can schedule the interview. No need to wait, until I get my interview.

Last technical question. I've made no $ last year. Opened new business for my father and we actually been loosing money till about a month ago. So i had no income. I do have a job (my fathers business but i don't make any $ yet. He just pays my bills lol. I have a sponsor who is my cousin. She's a doctor. Do i have to fill out I 134 or is it sufficient to have only the on from my cousin? I had no tax return for 2007 either... (poor me) lol. My lawyer advised to file 1040 for a few thousand $ just to show embassy that i did make 2000$ last year. Sounds way to low to even show any income at all. Any experience with this?

Ana, thanks for the research ... it's just that all cases are so different. With Dutti everything went pretty smooth and fast, Marash didn't plan on getting married till now, and has her visa for quite some time now and I don't remember the name of the other couple, but for them it took long to get their approval, but once it got to the embassy everything went superfast. So I have no idea what's ahead of me ... Hope the NVC sends your file right out, once they received it

Tell her though, while she's waiting for her P3 to order her "long birth certificate", which is the full one that you order from the province. It costs about 35-40$ and takes about a 7-10 business days to recieve Also, she can order her police check now too. I did it through my city police and it cost 30$.

Good morning!! How's everyone?

I have a question for those who already filled in their DS-156 form online ... I know I asked this before but now I want to know what you did ... the question 22 When do you intend to arrive in the US? (provide specific date if known). I just checked the form out online and it seems that you're only able to fill in a date and nothing else (like for instance; aprox. or a plusminus 'date'). Some of those fields on that form have limited characters, like my jobname isn't going to fit completely ... not that I think that is a problem, if they don't give me more space then I can't give the whole name ...

Suggestions, tips, hints, experiences are welcome ...

Morning Sandra . I just looked through the past online-filled forms I've done for my J1 visas without having exact dates and looks like I managed to put month & year. Since they are asking when you "anticipate", just put "October 2008" or "November 2008" (I would be tempted to write "Yesterday", lol

So Dave is calling the NVC again today? Well the info they give is vague too. At least you will know if they received your file, but they're not telling you when they're sending it out, it might take up to a week (that's what they told Greg then). Good luck!!!
