Full Version: CENOMAR needed for visa interview?

Tim and Glyn
I have been reading many of these posts and I am starting to get worried. I told Glyn that she did not need to worry about having the CENOMAR. Now, I am beginning to wonder if that was bad advice.

I know it is not required, but I wonder if she will have problems if she does not have it.

She is supposed to go on May 15 and has already paid for her document verification. Does it make sense for her to try to get one now?

Any advice or experience you can share would be great!

Thanks,

Tim

I was asked by the prescreener to submit one. My friend was asked of her CENOMAR too. So even if the CENOMAR is not on the list of the new requirements on the K1 packet, you need to get one. You'll never know what they are going to ask from you. More ammo, the better!

I only know one from here whose CENOMAR was not asked during interview, it's envy_me. The rest, I heard were required to submit their CENOMAR. I suggest that your fiancee should get one now. It took 6 working days for me to get my CENOMAR after I applied online. Primie had provided the link.

Better to secure it soon, you still have time. It won't hurt you to have one.

Good luck on your interview!! rose.gif

The CENOMAR is NOT a requirement but a suggested extra bonus to have in your back pocket just in case. See Section 4.3 of the Manila Embassy K1 Visa Guide.

uhmm.. it was not asked cos i shoved it to the face of the pre-screener.. devil.gif
when the pre-screener was asking for my birth cert and NBI.. i asked him if i need to submit cenomar..
he said NO, but then i insisted for him to get it.. cos ive read from somewhere that even if they don't ask for your cenomar u should insist it.. LOL
i just slipped my cenomar together with my birth cert and NBI.. whistling.gif he din't complain tho.. whistling.gif
maybe that's the reason why consul din't ask for my cenomar?? unsure.gif

Thanks so much for all of this advice and experience. We went to ecensus.com.ph and requested a CENOMAR. So, hopefully she will have in time for her interview on May 15.

Good luck to everyone!

Hi, you already paid for the document verification, right? Don't forget to call Delbros and USEM to make sure they forwarded your documents to NSO. I think it is important that you do that before the interview, to make sure that your visa will not be delayed. See Lotterly_Richard's posts about Delbros document verification for details/guide.
Jartu63
Maymay never got asked for hers when we interviewed, BUT. figure it will be part of the NSO documentation check
banananut
I wasnt asked but I have it. We need to be ready for the documents they will ask so it would be safer and smarter for us to get one.
