Today I managed to pass the written part of the drivers test with only 1 answer wrong (although I failed it in London twice), I thought that becasue I had no EAD or SSN then they wouldnt let me take or apply for a learners permit but apparently if you get a letter from the SSA saying that you are in the country legally and are awaiting a EAD then they do allow you to get a permit.
I just wanted to let the drivers of Up State NY to be careful as I am out there somewhere ohmy.gif

Congrats to you!

I got my full drivers license in Florida without a ssn or ead. I just had to give my Ontario (Canadian) drivers license, my passport, and my visa. They charged $20 then took my picture and gave me a license valid for 2 years. They also told me to come back once I get my green card and they will renew it.
