So we passed our interview on April 16th. We didn't ask for Visa pick up. Still a week and a half later there was still no Visa so I called the embassy last Friday. They said she had to redo her finger scanning. The thing is they never told us and they knew since the Monday before...Now we have to wait until tomorrow to do the finger scanning again. I hope they will allow us to pick up the visa on Wednesday cause our plane leaves on Thursday I'm just angry that they didn't even bother to call us to let us know of the problem. Everyone pray that everything works out and we leave to the USA on the same plane. Shes doing her CFO right now.

Tip for everyone. Call everyday to check the status of your visa. If there is a problem they sure as hell wont tell you.

i m sorry ericc that they didnt inform you.grrrr youre right everyone should follow up their status everyday especially if u dont get your visa yet in 3-5 days and the fact that she wasnt given any white slip on her interview day. they should allow you for visa pick up, show them your tickets.

Hi EricC, good thing you called the embassy, if not you could of been waiting with nothing. What prompted them to have a repeat finger scanning? That's negligence on their part not informing you. Anyways, just be thankful you'll be having the visa.

We are frustrated too I was interviewed April 22, the consul said that everything was good but they will need to verify my NSO docs. We called the USEM today, monday to check the status of our case. It's frustrating to know that the embassy call center agent told us that there's no record that they received those documents from me..what is that suppose to mean then? so unreliable... NSO told us that doc verification is confidential we must ask our inquiries at the embassy now we are thinking to do next...

its so sad to hear about your experience....i had my interview last april 22 and then i got approved..and on april 24 midnight i received a text from delbros that visa delivery for my manila case number starts tommorow....now im still waiting for my visa to be delivered cause i addressed it in bohol...

We have the same date of interview though i didn't receive any SMS for visa delivery yet..congratulations to you..and have a save trip soon

I'm so sorry to hear about the finger scanning error. I'm getting a little worried now since reading your post. You see, I had my interview today and visa approved. My worry is during finger scanning (finger scanner was cranky this Vietnamese/Korean woman), it took me a while to have my fingers scanned. Cranky woman in charge! I asked her if I need to repeat my right hand, she said "never mind." So now, I am worried. If there was an error in the first place, they shoud have told you right then and there! It's their responsibility, D'oh!

same situation before when I had my interview but in my part they called me right away with in that day for finger scanning again...i hope you will get your visa...sorry to hear that!!

I'm here in Taipei airport waiting for my connecting flight to LA. My Fiancée isn't with me We went back for finger scanning, waited 2 hours just for that. Then when we got to the finger scanning lady she was very rude and shouted at my finacée that she wasn't pushing hard enough. Then she said ok, go home now. I asked her if we could pick up the visa and she said they don't do that and if I wanted visa pick up I should have told the person who interviewed us. I told her that I had no clue this was going to happen and it was their fault they didn't even contact us that we had to redo the finger scanning. She said sorry. So I called the embassy later and they said there was nothing they could do, but to fax Team 4 requesting to expedite. We did and they didn't approve it. So I had to rebook her flight for May 20 (I would have sonner but who knows what will happen anymore). And EVA Air just raised their prices so I will have to pay the extra, plus the fee of rebooking. I don't know how much that will be yet.

The worst part is sitting on the plane and seeing the seat next to me empty, and knowing my fiancée was supposed to be there. I hope everything goes smooth here on out.

I can understand your disappointment and how awful it feels to be next to that empty seat heading home. Try to take comfort in the fact that at least you know you are approved and it's no longer a matter of 'if' but 'when'. Remind her that you will be waiting for her with open arms to welcome her to the U.S. when she arrives on the 20th. Best of luck and safe travels.

I feel for you EricC.. Just take the time to prepare the house for your fiancee's arrival. At least you know that she will definitely be there soon and before you know it she would be there already.
