you need a really good reason to expedite

As far as I know there have been military expedites when the USC is being deployed overseas.

There are no others I am aware of.

Why exactly are you needing an expedite?
Jomo's girl
Good luck. While I think I've heard a million different excuses why someone needs their case expedited, it has been a very VERY rare case that I've actually heard of them expediting.
payxibka
Considering the OP's I-129F was filed in early December, they most likely will be coming up for regular processing fairly quickly anyway. Since it can be upwards of 30 days to get an expedite request approved, I am sure the OP will be back telling us that right after the fiance called there petition was approved due to the expedite.

Not eligible for premium processing. Very different than expedite.
~Laura and Nick~
Serdar, you have filed at the California service center. The usually take quite a bit longer than Vermont.
You should be getting your NOA2 very soon.
Be patient! It's coming!

Yeah, these people were expedited because USCIS made an error back in September.

That's one of the very few exceptions mentioned above and it's good to see because others here have had USCIS errors that were not expedited.

We all want/need our SO here early for one reason or another. But unless it's a military deployment expedite or very serious health issue for the USC it's unlikely to happen.

All the information you could want is all in the search box. wink.gif

she just called and talked very nice lady and she said that they will aswer us in 10 days she got all info about us and everything and she said that you should have called us before and explain and you would not have to wait this longer so I am happy now ..
hopefully everything works fine now ...

I don't see where you have waited overly long, thus far.

Good luck to you. I hope it all works out.
aravis227
serdar-was there a specific condition or military reason that you requested an expedite? I don't mean to be nosy and you don't have to give details...but if we can all call up USCIS and say we've been waiting to long and they'll kindly tell us we shouldn't have had to wait this long...well...I think there would be a lot of very happy VJers.
lancer1655
Since August 07 I have seen 4 expedites granted, 3 for medical reasons and 1 for error. I have also seen two ppl that had errors delaying their petition and they were denied.

My attorney is going to request an expedite next week but its not a guarantee even with substantial proof.
KimandRuss
serdar, i'm glad you're excited and do hope it works for you but unless your case is an extreme exception, the lady you talked to may just be blowing smoke. Call again and you may get a totally different answer.

Lancer, if your attorney can't do anything I would suggest getting your representative involved and don't take no for an answer. It was clearly their mistake and they should take responsibility for it! Keep us posted I would love to hear that you are approved next week!
lancer1655
See all the touches on my case? I think every two touches equals a congressional inquiry (roughly). If the expedite goes through ok I expect to have my case cleared within 4 weeks probably (two weeks for the expedite process, two weeks for processing.

my wife's k3 visa was expedited, because my wife had died and i had to take care 4 children. was unable to go to work. with congressman's help it was expedited all the way to the embassy.
serdar
yes we have also 3 kids and it is not easy anymore for her take care of the kids byherself ..even I could not be with her when she was giving birth to our twince 5 months ago that was a big crap anyways we are kinda late but at least we know now we will get soon but I am wondering that if we will be able to get expedite at the consulate ?if anyone has got an expernce please share with us because they are coming over here may 11 and be here june 18 so we might go back all together if there is a expedite at the ambessy as well ...
Sinergy
uhm having kids is not a reason for expidite. I had my son alone while waiting for my husbands K-1, but i didnt call USCIS and beg for an expidite as i knew we wouldnt get one anyway.
again, the reasons for expidite are as they were told, military deployment, SERIOUS medical reason, or like one of the posters, his wife died and he had to get himself with the kids so they could be raised.

i also agree with fwaguy, and not only will it be a normal approval and the OP will assume its an expidite and then come on here and announce that, it will give new members false hopes with expidites.
I dont see anything wrong with waiting the normal time frame just as everyone else has to. expidites are not given bc you have children and the fiance cant deal with it alone, they will look at it as your prob not theirs.

however good luck.
serdar
well I guess they do decide better your opion my friend who can get expedite so thanks god that there is also nice peoble out there ...

My fiance went to Iraq for a year with the US Army and left his ex with their new born baby... she struggled big time do you think he could have requested to come home because it was too tough for her? I mean all the best to you guys and I wish you luck but we all have to wait - I don't feel like my case should get any different treatment just because we decided not to start a family until we were together for good.

and to the OP yes thank god there are nice ppl in the world, however, not nice enough to break rules for bc "i cant take care of the kids i gave birth to"

btw, your due for an approval anytime now, give or take if you get an RFE or not, and trust me, if you get the approval, it wont be an expidite, it will be the approval, as your NOA1 was back in november of 07.

I'm not agreeing with anyone...but I think that what they meant was that they don't like when people ask for advice, then get angry or upset at the advice they're given.
BexandAlan
I have plenty of compassion thank you very much. I wish the OP all the best, that doesn't change the fact that the expedite is not for this type of situation. I understand this process is hard for EVERYONE. There are 100's of filers that have children, sick relatives and/or find themselves in all kinds of other very difficult situations and still have to wait. We all knew what we were getting ourselves into at the start of this process, its long and its disorganized and it sucks big time. I'm sorry that you don't like my views on this matter but that won't change them though I'm afraid.

phonics didnt work? read what i sd " ill have compasion when ppl stop asking questions and when they dont like the advise given insist they are doing it anyway and the advise given wont be the outcome for them" in other words, why ask questions if you dont care what others are going to offer for advise anyway.
i was also not mean, i was being honest, just bc you saw it as mean doesnt mean anything, he was given really good advise and he didnt want it bc it wasnt what he wanted to hear, so i was honest with him about the situation. thats not being mean, im just not the type to sugar coat anything.
