I filed N-400 in March 2007 and I was interviewed on August 10,2007. Since then 8 months & 14 days have passed and I am still waiting for the oath. My case status is not updated on the USCIS website. Someone on this website advised me to got to the local USCIS office & ask them why it is taking so long. So I did go to their office & asked them about my case status. The officer looked into his computer & then told me that my case is with the supervisor & that he can not tell me how long it is going to take. I want to know what should I do now ? I would appreciate any help/guidance. Thanks.

If you contact your Congressmen/woman they can inquire for you. I did this for my I751 and eventhough it took them 3 months to get back to me, they told me what happened with I751 and they also let me know that my N400 was approved and that my Oath letter should be in the mail soon. I got my Oath letter a month after that call.

I can't guarantee that this will help but it won't hurt either.
