I am posting to let people know of our time line.
VSC was unbelievably fast, even though we had to reschedule my wife finger prints from 2/28 to 04/11.
It looks like if you have a very straight forward applications, you will get your interview letter fast.
Lets keep our finger crossed and I wish everyone the best.

Don't worry, you will be called when it is time and hopefully soon.
It is election year, they may want to move people fast to vote.
It happened to one of my friends who applied in March 04 and got it in September just before the election.
Keep your fingers crossed and best of luck.

Pfft. They must be pullin these apps out of a frigging hat. Now way is the Newark NJ office notinnundated with petitions.

I have to admit, I'm somewhat skeptical that the current administration will be doing anything to facilitate any naturalizations (since, on the whole, new immigrants don't tend to vote for his party).

Having said that, congratulations! And best of luck with the civics studying smile.gif Fingers-crossed that Boston manages something in the near future, although I'm not counting on it... I think I agree with cmartyn about there being a big old lottery as far as when people's applications are processed wacko.gif

Hey! After all that, guess what arrived in the mail for me too! My interview is on Thursday June 12th at 8:30am (in Boston). Better get studying... wink.gif

Congrats! Let me guess. Boston, which I beleive takes 8 months to process an N400 has magicaly processed everything in a couple of months. No doubt whats happening is petitions are being spread out and not very evenly. That would mean anybody could be approved at any time.

The Journey is finally over.
The interview was at 1PM, we were out by 6:30 with the Citizenship Certificate in our hands.
The interview was easy and fast, only we had to wait for a few hours for the oath.
I wish everyone the best of luck.

Ha, I count about 5 2/3 months between 01/30/08 N-400 Sent to VSC and 06/23/08 Interview and Oath. Our dates are 03/31/08 to 07/17/08 provided my wife can take her oath the same day as her interview, that's like 3 1/2, months, but some have posted less than 3 months. Whatever, beats waiting two or more years like it was a couple of years ago.

But well done, happy, good show.

How was your interview and what questions were you asked and how many for the civics?
happpy
Actually, it is 4 2/3 months...
The officer asked my wife 5 questions and she got them all right and then he stopped.
It was easy and non painful.
Hope same goes for everybody.
