-Hello, it's been more then 6 months since I filed for my husband an I-130 form, could you, please, tell me the status of my case?
-O, unfortunetly, at this moment, we don't give any information about the status of the cases anymore. Please, call back the same number, then , when asked for you receipt number, don't enter it- and the costumer service representative will be with you.
- I am sorry, but I have tried that procedure before, and it didn't lead me anywhere, where I wanted to expedite my case... When have you stopped giving the information to the petioners about their case?
- Couple of months ago.
- I have spoken to one of the represantative last week, and was given an info, that my case is being viewed by an officer...
- O, we have a lot of new people right now... We are not supposed to give any information anymore... What' your case number?
- ............
-It is being review by an officer, as you were told last week. We can't give you anymore information at this point
- O'k, is the address updated in my file?
- Is it ..... ?
- yes, it is. ( made sure she really was looking at my file)
- Could you, please, tell me how long will it take for an officer to finish reviewing it?
- Sorry, can't tell you.But it's a good thing that your file is not on the shelf ,sitting there, but being reviewed . It's a good thing.
- Thank you
- Have a nice day!

blink.gif To be ( believe) or not to be(believe)- that is a question....

That sounds insanely frustrating! I am so sorry you aren't getting any useful information and you have been waiting so long. I don't really have any helpful advice, but I did want to say hi since it says you are filing for someone from Georgia! There are so few of us on here I think we should band together smile.gif

Is your husband Georgian?

Is your husband Georgian?

Hello, Gande! Yes, my husband is Georgian, the matter of fact is: I , myself , am Georgian with some ukranian blood in me wacko.gif . Anyway, It's so nice to find you, guys, here! What form did you submit to CIS? I , actually, started the whole process in July (!!!) But , because of the "deep knowledge of the Immigration matter of my very smart attorney"(she submtted the wrong form..) , I officially, started everything in October. So, I have been waiting so long for my husband and 2 children, that live in Georgia. The smallest one is only 2 years old. Do you think I miss them? sad.gif I don't know how I am holding on , and , actually , everyone else...
Eresh
I might have missed something posted about it on the forums, but does anyone know why they stopped giving out information on the cases a few months ago?

Well Gamarjoba!

It sounds like you have a frustrating case. I can't believe your attorney filed the wrong form! What a waste of money and more importantly TIME! uhg.

It must be so hard to be without your family and children! When was the last time you saw them?

I am very very very lucky that I actually live in Georgia with my SO. He and I are planning to get married very soon and file DCF here at the embassy.. which is supposed to be faster in theory. But, as I am sure you know, nothing EVER moves quickly in Georgia, so I am a bit skeptical.
