i was married to US citizin nov 2006 and my GC is on the way and i think it will be conditional card...and i think if it s conditional i will need to renew it in april 2009 .


so the question is when i can apply to the citizinship is it 3 years from the date of the conditional card or 3 years from the 10 years card???

It will be conditional, only if you were married longer than 2 years BEFORE the green-card is approved will it be UN-Conditional.

If you are receiving it this month then you renew it 2 years from now that will be 2010 NOT 2009.

You can apply for citizenship 3 years after getting CR-Green-card, that will be 2011.

What does the green-card show as date that residency status was approved? You can apply for citizenship at 3 years of that date. And yes you file I-751 within 90 days before the CR-card's expiration date.

Note there are residency requirements, and have to be married to a US citizen for the 3 years in order to file for citizenship at 3 years.
