normally when does nvc sched interview after case completion?is it also true that we can call D.O.S to inquire projected interview and medical?(im on cr1 route)

DOS and NVC don't set the interview date, the Embassy does.
You can call DOS visa services to ask about case status after NVC sends it on to the Embassy.

NVC schedules the interviews during the second week of each month. Unless it's for China, then the Embassy does the scheduling.

NVC schedules the interview now for CR1 cases in Manila. The embassy ONLY schedules for K visas.

And VisaGenie is right, NVC starts scheduling during the second week of each month. BUt when I called last week, they told me that they're still not done scheduling for this month. They told me to call by the end of this week so.... I'd be calling tomorrow.

just called nvc few hours ago talked with nvc agent "jenny" and said they received my rfe notice with pictures last apr. 23 ( after 7 days apr14) it will take roughly 4-6 weeks for further review well i hope i get answer soon...guess ill be not joining the may interview just because of the missing visa photos..;(

Well I hope you have better luck than me and my lovely wife Mhay. Our NVC case completion date was April 10th. I finally got through to the NVC and they said May scheduling is done. They said to call back after second week in May about a June date.
There was a post my wife pointed out to me (can't find it now) where they had a list of couples with May interview dates and their NVC date was after our April 10/11 approval date. I wonder if that is they are writing down the actual NVC complete date or the date they got the letter in the mail. At any rate I was so ready to see my asawa and my daughter again
