Hello Everyone,
My Fiancee has interview for K1 Visa on 2 June 08. I have been to Russia before and had always listed
my reason to visit was to see the sites in St. Petersburg for example.
I am curious if anyone has ever stated they are visiting their fiance and if this has worked to get Visa.

I can state that I am visiting as a tourist to see Red Square, Kremlin, Pushkin musuem, etc. which is true, but
I am also going to support my fiancee when she is interviewed.

Curious to hear what everyone says..

Thanks
ELW
I guess this should be moved to the Russia forum! yes.gif

That said, if Russian visas are generally easily given for USA tourists, there isn't much need of mentioning that you are visiting your fiancee there. In fact it might be worse, because they may suspect you will just stay on instead of returning to USA! That is why, for example, visas for USA might not be granted if you mention SOs residing there.
