I asked this in CR1/IR1 but at the end of a thread where it might get lost so I am repeating my question here since we are DCF. Please excuse the repetition. tongue.gif
On the DS-230 Question 14: Name of Spouse (maiden or family name). If the immigrant is male would he put his wife's Maiden Name or her current Married Name? I have seen this question asked and answered in two different ways, which should it be?
Thanks for any help. smile.gif

P.S. Lorele, if you read this, I miss your pirate pix. yes.gif

Hi Sadie

I replied in the other thread but here is my interpretation of it again.

One can put either the maiden or family name which ever one is used by the wife. Some wives elect to keep their maiden name.

As for the wench pic.....she'll be back tongue.gif I'm just feeling a lil crazy right now with my interview coming up so the new ID reflects that. I haven't had a chance to update my timeline in the pic I was using in my signature but will get that sorted too.

Cheers

Hi Lorelle.
Drat! I thought you were going to say that. I put my maiden name but I use my married name all the time for everything. Well, I will try & squeeze in my married name & line out the other.
One more question for you. On the I-130, Question #7-Other Names Used (including maiden name), how do you interpret that? Do they mean names you have used in the past, e.g. previous marriages, or names you use now?

Saw that you got your interview date! Congratulations! IPB Image

Cheers!
