I've notice from other people filing during March 2008 that almost all of them have received their NOA1 within 14 days. It's been over a month since we filed our I-130, and no NOA1. There is a receipt number (EACxxxxxxxxxx) printed on the back of my cleared check obtained from my online banking system. I tried to input this number into the USCIS online and phone status systems, but there's no record of my case. So I called the National Customer Service Center. The first operator told me to try back on Monday, since that would be 30 days from when my check cleared. I wasn't satisfied with that, so I called again. The second operator transferred me to an officer. She took my info (address, receipt number from check) and told me I should hear a response via post within 30 - 45 days.
Has anyone else heard something about "receipt notification issues" for the Vermont Service Center, especially for March filers?
Any advice on my next step?
