Hi,

I'm hoping that someone can give me some advice:

I have my interview at the London Embassy on May 1st. As my fiance doesn't have much money, we have a co-sponsor.

As I went through everything, I noticed that for question 11 on the I-134 (I intend/do not intend to make specific contributions to the support of persons named in item 3) he crossed 'DO NOT'. however, in the example forms on this website it suggested writing 'N/A K1 visa process for permanent residence'. Does anyone know whether it is ok that he ticked 'DO NOT', or should he fill it out with the above and have it notarised again?

Any help would be great, as obviously I only have a few days left.

Also, he left question 8 (the following persons ar dependent upon me for support) blank, instead of writing 'NONE' as the example form suggests. Does anyone know whether this is ok?

Thanks so much- I just want to make sure everything is as correct as it can be!

My fiance followed what's written on the example form.

He should have filled up all questions whether it's answerable by None or NA.

These forms though simple have confusing questions - you can explain to them that he does intend to support you if needed - as a K1 and the other answer should be none if they ask you. I have found consulate staff to be understanding of our nervousness and confusion. I try to always treat others with respect and always get it back in kindness. Good Luck

The right answer for question No. 11 is N/A. That question about the contributions does not apply when you are filing for K-1.

If you still got time I suggest you get a new I-134 from your fiance, just to be on the safe side. Don't forget that I-134 is a sworn statement, the information that your fiance filled out needs to be as accurate as possible.

Thanks so much everyone! It really helps to have some clarification, and I've asked him to re-do the form with n/a.
