I've been lurking for a while getting my feet wet, but things are moving much faster now so I have to get my act in gear.

Menci, from Lapu-Lapu, PI, and I applied in February for our K1 visa and we received our NOA2 and NVC letter last week! Totally shocked to say the least. Thought we'd be waiting until at least Christmas. All of a sudden I need to get my home clean and ready for a woman

Now we are trying to make sense of the next steps and am awfully confused about the visa interview/medical process timeline. Guess I'd better read some more posts!

Im thinking you got awhile yet to clean the house, but best wishes on the next steps. Look above and find the embassy information it can help some and im sure others will be here to help soon for that area about interview and medical etc

Haha! you reminded me of how my husband (fiance then) tried to impress me by cleaning his place thoroughly before I got here! That would surely kick things off to a good start when she gets here.

But you still have to hurdle the challenges of the K-1 process so best of luck to you and Menci.

And a lot of people here understand the challenges of the visa process because they've been through them, the waiting for some is even worse. It keeps one sane! In my case, the topics were so helpful that we saved some $$$$ from hiring a lawyer.

Hello again! Just a quick update. We scheduled Menci's interview at the Manila Embassy for May 27, so she will be headed to St Luke's on May 14-15. The timing couldn't be better coz months ago we planned my next visit to Lapu-Lapu for June 14-21. If God keeps smiling on us like this, there's a chance she could come home with me then Will keep y'all updated! Thanks for the good wishes and please keep us in your prayers!

Hello again folks!

Quick update - Menci's interview at Manila Embassy was on the 27th, and she was approved!

Hopefully the visa will be turned quickly and we can fly home together on the 21st of June.
