Hi all-

I was just wondering if anyone knew how the Chicago lockbox decided which Service Center to send one's I-130 petition? I am from Chicago, sent my I-130 app to the Chicago lockbox, and my case was sent to the California Service Center which seems to be the slowest of the Service Centers.

It seems like those lucky few whose I-130 apps were sent to the Texas Service Center are getting approved in a month's time! Is it just luck of the draw, or what?

Patiently waiting for California to hurry up!

Depends in part on where the petitioner lives, and sometimes changes depending on case load at the service centers.

TSC doesn't process I-130s, only VSC and CSC do. I think the states are pretty much divided up east/west and assigned to either of those Service Centers appropriately.

Why the "F" did my Lawyer send my 129f to CSC when they could have sent it Nebraska? I live in Chicago too!

Nebraska haven't dealt with I-129F petitions since last year, they all go to either California or Vermont.
