Well, I'm not sure since I did my payment a few weeks ago and just got awared of this yesterday, but if you consider that NVC takes a cuople of weeks or sometimes a month to mail you something plus another few weeks to get the payment into their system, I would say that maybe 2 months and half or so.

Note that the online payment system hasn't been officially released by the NVC to the public so there's some risk to using it. If you have problems with it, you have limited recourse as the NVC operators all will tell you it's not up and running yet. Some problems that have been encountered is the system taking your money but not showing that it has, allowing you to pay more than once, and the inability to generate cover sheets for printing. On the plus side, most people's payments are at least going through and showing up in the NVC's computer when you call them, and you can still print out cover sheets using James's Shortcuts, and the amount of time saved, it could probably cut down time spent at the NVC by half, just as a guess.
