I've sent my wife's I751 packet along with a check last week express mail on thursady 4/10. Nebraska received it on Sat 4/12. I've been waiting for a notice and case file number from them but have yet to get one. I checked with USPS and NSC picked it up. I checked with my bank and NSC has yet to cash the $545 check.
For the folks who had to use NSC, how long did it take for you to get the initial letter confirmation from them? I getting a little worried since I'm hearing stories on this forum about the long waits and frustrations with NSC and the USCIS as a whole. When should I deem this file was lost and send out a new packet with a new check? Did it get directly shipped to CSC for processing which would actually be better?
Please respond at your convience. Thanks.. Rdan19 & Rrufch1

Some folks who recently filed at NSC (and were transferred to CSC) got their NOA1s about ten days after their I-751s arrived at NSC. So you probably won't get yours until the middle of next week at the earliest.

Here is my timing. I sent it from Chicago to Nebraska via Priority Mail. My NOA1 has a WAC number so I am assuming/hoping we got transferred to California.
04/01/08 -- Package sent to Nebraska
04/03/08 -- NOA1 Notice Date
04/14/08 -- Received NOA1 in mail
04/14/08 -- Check cleared my bank

They are pretty fast (now). My check was cashed in 7 days; I received the NOA (extension) 4 days after that (from California) and had the biometrics three weeks after that. Its flying through it seems. Good Luck

Thanks for the words of encouragement. But I get skeptical when it comes to USCIS. I wont believe it until I see it... I can't wait for my wife to finally get through all this. ie US Citizenship and US Passport.. that's in the next 18 months or soo.. then a petition for the inlaws... a never ending process
