Im missing my physical examination due to my period. Im wondering how it is performed. Im getting so nervous and I will be so shy to be seen naked. I have an ovarian cyst too, will they see that? and would it be a problem?

You won't be having any problem probably. I had a period on the day of my physical. They will perform other test like x-ray and others and they will let you come back after your period is done to do other tests needed. About your ovarian cyst, that I don't know. Most possibly the doctor will see it, but don't worry or rather get too nervous and shy seeing naked since you will be examine by a lady doctor. If any case you'll not, try to request for a female doctor, ok!

another thing...just look at it this way...with all the naked bodies they examine everyday, you are just another body to them....nothing more nothing less....so look at it that way so you don't feel shy or nervous....they have to do their job....imagine yourself in their place, would you enjoy their job? yikes never! so be calm and cool....that's just a few seconds that they will check out your body...nothing personal....ok sis?

It's the same for men. I used to get nervous when I'd have a physical, but then I just think to myself, "These people are professionals and see nude bodies all the time, I'm just another body, who cares?" That makes it easier for me and now, I don't think anything of it.

I just turn all red everytime I go to my Gyne that she gives me a remark about it. Anyway, I have to go back for my Physical Examination (the only thing I missed at Slec). Would I get done in a day? releasing, vaccination etc. Im getting my ticket on Monday and just confused when to get my ticket back to Cebu, having it open date is way expensive and airlines are fully booked as it is Summer...passenger season.I would really appreciate if somebody can answer me.

Physical examination took less than few minutes only and you have to be naked to get it done. Mine lasted about 5 minutes and though I was very nervous and shy all throughout the time the doctor checked my body, the experience was not that scary. Since you only missed the PE I believe you will get the results in one day. Goodluck sis!

Oh was it a good thing I stumbled across this thread? Should I keep it to myself or should I tell my fianée? This goes beyond the monthly thing, my sweetie is virgin and holds that cherry in high regard. What do I tell her?

the doctors will not see your ovarian cyst. You need an ultrasound for that. But if she asks you about your past medical history, be sure to tell her u've been diagnosed to have an ovarian cyst....don't worry, the doctor who examined me didnt even touch me
