On April 14th I received a status update that EAD card production was ordered. On April 16th I received another similar status message that card production was ordered. I am confused - why would card production be ordered twice? Is there something I need to wort about?

It wasn't, the USCIS system often times sends information e-mails out two, three and sometines four times. Also, the sytem is known to not send any information out either.... Be glad you got something

Immigration Blues, if it's any comfort to you, the EXACT SAME THING JUST HAPPENED TO ME ON EXACTLY THE SAME DATES. I guess too many notices is better than none at all, right?

I guess you're right. I'll wait for the card and worry if I don't get it in 30 days. It's just that immigration seems to be this big black hole that we have no visibility in to - and anything can happen once things go into that hole. Very often there is no real rhyme or reasons why things happen (or don't happen) in there which is why we all get worked up about anything thrown back at us from within that hole.

Interestingly, my AP was also approved on the same day as you, and touched again, just like your file, on the 15th. Our files must literally be sitting next to one another on the same table. I know you are on the february filers list, and I will be sure to post as soon as the EAD arrives here. Please do the same, and maybe we can make some sense of all this.

Update: EAD touched again today, 4/17.

My EAD was touched again on 4/17 as well.

It is at least comforting to know that what is happening is not completely anomalous.

I received my EAD today!

I got the double production email too - just got a second one right now. Yes, I get it USCIS - you have a wonderfully efficient and user-friendly notification system (ahem). You don't need to tell me twice. Could be worse! I was worried it would be an RFE email.
