Amastar,
obviously you have done lots of homework regarding this issue (visiting US during I-130 petition). Do you think, or have you heard, that there would be any negative effect of such visit at the consulate interview? would the interviewing officer give your wife a hard time for making such visit?
I've never heard of that happening. The main thing I was worried about was how it would look if she got denied entry.
I think though as long as she can show on her passport that she left before her 90 days was up and didnt overstay I dont think there is anything to worry about.
Cause technically there isnt any law against people coming to visit while waiting for a visa. Its all up to the Immigration officer at the POE.
If he thinks she is a risk to immigrate illegally then he wont let her in.
But then again Ive heard this over and over again but Ive never read about an actual IO not letting someone in.
Im sure it happens but I just havent seen it happen.
Im not sure why lawyers and other people scare us like they do.
I dont know if I answered your question or not. I hope I helped.
