Hey everyone. Nagi and Mohammed Happy wednesday!! ... i'm up early today becoz I DIDNT EVEN SLEEP my sleeping is sooo messed up and i dont know if this is what u call insomnia or not ... becoz i still sleep but at the weirdest times ever!!!! im having a hard time adjusting my sleep.... so i thought if i just stay awake for a whole day i shud be able to pass out at a reasonable time lol ... yeah!!!

anyways yes it is hot here!! it started getting this hot like this only 2 days ago! the summer is very late and that tells us one thing.... THIS SUMMER IS GOING TO BE HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLAAAAAAAAAAA HOTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT !!! LOL

I dont think so too loool .... My husband is originally from Las Vegas which is a desert!! its veryyy hot and dry so he is like me used to a very warm weather... now he is living in bloomington IN for his phD and oh god its soooooo cold !!! and its summer is nothing compared to LV nor cairo !! lol
i think ill still be wearing jackets all year long

im awake....4:17am....cuz i felt a little baby kicking my insides.....poor guy wants out, I dont blame him...few more days to go....i think ill go lay on the couch and watch infomericals....better hide my wallet first, some of those things are sooo appealing! lol

I don't know how y'all can stand it , but then again it is dry heat and not mixed with humidity, which makes breathing a bit easier I would assume.

Hello MENA world!!! Mohamed, I haven't told Ayman yet but you are going to a much warmer place than he is! I'm afraid he will want to live with you!! I just woke up and it is 36F here in O H I O!!! It will warm up to about 70F today though and in June it will be in the 90's. Ohio valley is known as sinus valley, one day its cold, the next is hot! I agree in my town we do not have that extreme heat that Egypt has. I felt like I was going to die at times there. When I sweat I turn into another Tasha!!!!!

My little babino woke me up ready and smiling for the day!! I love it when he wakes up in a good mood and coos! I think today I will clean out my closet and my drawers for my man when he comes. I promised 12 inches in the closet! Everybody have a great Hump Day and a good week! I am praying for those still waiting on their visa!

My SO loved the AC, I hated it and wanted just the fans and windows open. I felt as if I was in a climate controlled womb with little breathing space. Gotta have that fresh air even if it is hot.

My husband is FREEZING here at night and it's only in the 30's, though it's been very nice during the day...sunny and high 50's low 60's. His sisters said they are very very hot in Cairo.

To all who are coming here from Egypt..................an important note that we never thought about is that you need to make sure your husband/wife knows your address in America. Before they would allow him to get on the plane they asked my husband where he will be staying. He never thought to memorize my address but he did have it written down on a scrap piece of paper in his backpack. He couldn't find it for like 5 minutes and was sweating it out bigtime because they would not let him come if he didn't provide the address. Just food for thought.


Did I mention it feels like I'm in a dream and I don't wanna wake up??????????????????????? I wish I didn't have to work today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Next week I have off though and of course Friday is work in your pj's day!!!!!! Hubby is meeting up with some of his new peeps Friday at 1ish and going into Boston for Jummah. His first time going to a mosque without me!!!!!!!!! Maybe I'll catch up on some SLEEP!!! lol

Had a great time with all of you at the sandbox last night. If you want to know hot, come down to Florida in August, I have been to Cairo in August, and trust me, nothing compared to Florida. The Humidity is killer, and when we get hurricanes and lose electricty, oh than the hours of fun sweating. I swear I am so moving up north. Let's make it a good one.

I had a man ask me(last week) what was under my scarf and if I could belly dance for him wearing a veil. He also asked me if I would like to run my dark hair up and down his back. People are realllllly weird. Also? Idiot. My eyebrows are blonde. I want to know why all the weird fetish people find me... or is it that they are so numerous they more or less find everyone?

Personal religious choice (the short answer). Evidence is mostly for it in the Bible (and against not covering). So it's not hijab though. that's what was kind of cracking me up about the guy. Right now I'm mostly wearing it tied into a bun-shape, which usually has more people asking about cancer or fashion.

That's exactly what i'm doing. I like the long way too, but I haven't gone that way yet. I'm breaking it in.

There's one woman who actually puts it in a bun and then wraps her hair in it making it into a long braid that goes past her butt. I always wonder if her hair is really that long.

My bun is 50% material, but my hair is really long. i imagine if you didn't have hair in there the bun should be a lot smaller... but then i don't know that it would hold as well.
