My girl has her interview on April 22 at 7:30, which I guess is the time for everyone smile.gif anyway I was wondering how long is the process, so I know what time to book her flight back to Tacloban.

Thank You
Sam

i was done and out at the embassy around 8:45 am for my 6:30 am appointment... although some got out as late as 3:00 pm... so its always depends... i booked two nights at the hotel to be safe. plus it gave me time to rest after a long day than heading straight to the airport... its your choice though... if there's a last flight, try to get it if you want her to fly back on the same day on her interview
good luck and God bless!!!

My interview was at 7:30am and was done at 11am.She may want to rest a little bit after the interview so I would say if she's not really in rush to be back to Tacloban she can probably go home the next day:).

Samuel,
I would try to book her that last flight of the day to Tacloban... My wife is from Tacloban. If you feel uneasy about it, then I would book her flight the following morning. We wish you both a quick and easy approval at the interview. good.gif

We've bought the ticket last week. (bought one month before so we could avail of discounts) Our return flight is the day after interview.

The thought of going for interview is already stressful in itself. We surely won't need additional stress of rushing to catch the flight back home because anything could happen: she might be out mid or late afternoon, there might be slight problem when checking out at the hotel and Manila's traffic (ride to the airport) is just another stressful thing to beat.

I wish you all the best... and a successful interview next week. God bless always. rose.gif rose.gif rose.gif

I was at USEM at 5:00am and didn't come out there until 4:30pm... crying.gif crying.gif crying.gif I was there almost 12 hours for a 10-minute interview with the CO. All of the windows and booths were already closed by the time I paid Delbros. That was the longest day of my life. wacko.gif

Like folks have indicated, plan on being at the USE for the visa interview the entire day. Most complete their visa interview by lunch time, while others set up camp the entire day. Hopefully you will be on the better end of the stick in this situation. If you are interested in picking up your visa instead of having it delivered, be sure to ask the Consular Officer (CO) at the conclusion of the visa interview (before he/she kicks you out to wait in the lobby). Good luck...

Like I said, the interview lasted for 10 minutes only.

Hundreds of applicants came in that day - not just K1s but it was also the time for seamen to be issued their visas, the same with students studying in US who needed to fly back before July and everybody else who needed the visa. Well, I was with a friend during my interview and she's the last person that they called in so she's the record-holder, not me. whistling.gif

I was lucky I was out of the embassy by 9:30. . with a 7:30 appointment.

You might want to book her flight back to Tacloban the day after her interview.

Goodluck!!

Hi Sam,

Well, you are kind of in a bind for Tacloban. I travel to Tacloban from Manila A LOT and here's the reality:

There are only 2 airlines that fly Manila to Tacloban: PHillipine Airlines (PAL) and CEBU Pacific Air.

The last flight of the day is the CENBU Pacific 3:45pm departure from Manila's Domestic Terminal. That is about a 30 to 40 minute taxi ride from the Embassy. So with an hour to catch a taxi and get to the airport and an hour to check in at the airport, that means she will have to be leaving the USE by 1:45pm. That is doable, but not guarenteed. As you can see from others here (and our experience also) many are done with the embassy by 12 or 12:30pm, if not earlier. BUT NOT ALL!!!! That's the risk.

The first flight of the day is the CEBU Pacific 4:55am flight from the Manila Domestic Terminal.

Good luck in all!

Warm Regards,
Samby
