You might want to give it a week and watch your mail. We had a touch on 3/30 and then received letter confirmation of NOA2 9 days later by postal….stating we were approved 4/2, and still there is no reference to status on USCIS website, nor an email from them.
You can also try to call and talk to someone…to see if there is a problem. My understanding is that they are working on September and October at this moment… assuming there are no difficult problems with the petition.
Touches mean someone scanned your file in, but what they did is unknown.
Best of luck and speed.

9 months and waiting.
No touches since Feb. 10th.
Nada!!
You are right. "wait" is all they now how to say.
How much longer can one wait when they have been waiting 5,6,7,8 or 9 months?!?!?!
Well I hope my congressman's help will actually help, but I don't have any hope in anyone these days.
Good luck to all and I wish the best for us all.

Hello fellows,
I would suggest that when you call and speak to the USCIS customer service, please do insist that you talk to their supervisor. That's what my husband did and we got approved 4 days after my husband talked to the supervisor. Actually , it was the supervisor who called and informed my husband that we are approved already. When we checked it online it still pending until after couple of hours and its right there in the email already..
Here's a bit of the story of our case's approval..Our approval
Good luck to us ..

Hello there...
My husband called CSC last week and we too were told the same story to " wait " another three weeks and call back.
According to the officer our cases are being reviewed at the moment. They have been telling this story of reviewing since a month time. God knows when they will come to an end and approve us.
Im losing all the strength... Im losing hope....

Got a touch in both I-130 and I-129F yesterday as a result of this conversation

Hi Elbereth,
we're kind of in the same situation. Only my husband did not call RFE but customer service. Instead he made a congressional inquiry. The answer from USCIS was that they received our i130 on Oct. 1. So he made another one with proof (copy of NOA1) that they received August 24. We got a touch yesterday too. Hopefully we'll both have good news these days!!!

Hi Sama27!
You have to create your own account at USCIS website and then add your cases to the portfolio. There you can see a column called Last updated date for each case. When this date changes people here refer as a "touch".
Good Luck to you...!

the process time for I-130 go backwards I don't know if this is good for us August Filers or just a an evil scheme for the USCIS to avoud our inquiry
coz they will say again when we call..
" YES, MAM YOU ARE STILL UNDER PROCESS & YOUR PETITION HAS NOT PASSED YET THE 30DAYS, SO STILL IT'S NOT BEYOND THE CURRENT PROCESSING TIME. WE CANNOT MAKE AN INQUIRY THE DETAIL OF YOUR CASE UNTIL IT PASSES THE 30DAYS TIME."
ALL THESE BLA BLA BLA... OF THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS REALLY FRUSTRATING.
LAST MONTH THEY ARE ON THE SEPTEMBER 5 NOW WE GO BACK TO AUGUST 19, 2007.
LET'S JUST HOPE ITS A GOOD NEWS FOR US WHO ARE LEFT BEHIND WAY... WAY... BACK

Alright then! Is anyone prepared to have a guess at when they think we may receive NOA-2????????
It would be interesting to see what some of you think. The VJ website gives a much better idea as to what is really going on than those USCIS processing dates. So I would really appreciate your input.
Vermont Service Center
I-130 - filed Sept 10th 2007
I-130 NOA-1 - Dec 27th 2007
I-129f NOA-1 - Jan 18th 2008
From what I can see from other approvals on this site we should be hearing something anytime now. But I am trying not to get my hopes up. I am thinking they will both get approved together, both got touched on 9th April.
Maybe we should start a sweepstake on approvals, then other forms of gambling, then drinking, more drinking! Anything to numb the pain of this load of old bollocks we are all going through right now! Trying to stay positive but hard when nothing continues to happen. Oh well - soon hopefully. It is good to hear from others in the same situation so we can all help each other a little bit.
Cheers

Hi everyone!
I woke up this mourning just to casually check my e-mail, not expecting anything from the USCIS. So I checked my e-mail and found, in the middle of alot of junk mail, two e-mails from CSC saying that my I-129F and I-130 have been APPROVED!
What happened last week was I called Senator John McCain's office in Tuscon, AZ, since I live in Arizona. I talked to his secretary, and gave her all the information about my case, and how I filed in September and was delayed. The secretary told me that they will do everything they can to help me. They contacted CSC last week, CSC replied them the next day and told the secretary to give them 30 to 45 days to make a disicion on my applications. So McCain's office called me and told me this and the next day I recieved a letter from them jsut stating in writing what they told me over the phone. I have to call them to update and thank them for their help. Now only after a fews days of them calling the CSC, I am approved. I should have called them earlier for help. Anyway now on to the NVC, God Willing!

I didn't post in this thread about my approval.
It happened after USCIS admited they f*cked up sending us back to the mail room
When you talk to them, be very clear about your sent date, that USCIS has a comitment to honor the I-30 RECEIVED date, not the NOA dates and not the I-129F date.
