Just updating this thread. I've been waiting a little over 3 months, and I've heard nothing. Using my e-pass, all it says about my return is that it is "received". No date at all.

Hey Carlawarla ... have you heard anything yet? ... Does anyone have anything new to add ... I'm still waiting sad.gif

No lynamon, I've not heard a thing. I check online about twice a week, and it says nothing other than my return has been recieved. Not even a DATE that it was received! It's been about 14 weeks now.

Just wondering if you've heard any news as of late? .... I've heard nothing yet ...

Sent my T1 Adjustment about a month ago, and haven't had any updates via my epass. Think I'm going to have to give them a call tomorrow.
Texanadian
1) I filed an appeal through the E-pass website. Asking for the full basic personal exemptions.

2) Then I phoned and got told to file a T1-adjustment.

3) Filed T1-adjustment by snail mail.

4) Mere days after filing the T-1 adjustment I received a reply from the E-pass appeal saying that my appeal would be looked at and processed sometime over the next 6 MONTHS.

Come ooooon, it can't take that long.
lynamon
I called today ... they told me that it's being processed .. which I already knew ... but couldn't tell me how much longer although she did say "shouldn't be much longer now" and they couldn't give me a date of receipt ... I hate dealing with governments!

Oh great...I got my greencard faster than that! laughing.gif

The stupid (and kind of funny, have to laugh about it) thing is, even though 'I' (read: my dad) made a mistake in saying all of my earnings were taxable (US income included), they didn't fix that. No, they changed everything else, and didn't even notice that I had filed under Section 217.

I made sure to Highlight the Section 217 and the Double Taxation thing multiple times in the adjustment.

And it was very hard to not say..."No, I don't owe you anything, in fact, you owe ME $1100. Gimme my money!" innocent.gif

I haven't even tried to phone. I just keep checking the epass website. I think mine was in about a month ahead of your lynamon, so they should have processed mine already. Mine isn't complicated at all...but who knows. Hope we both hear something soon! Keep updating here.

I'm ticked .... they finally completed my taxes on July 31st. How does a $3000 refund go down to $300??? off to appeal I go ...
Carlawarla
I was just thinking about you this morning and thought I should check my tax status. Mine took 5 months!!! I got what I expected, minus $200.00. I read the on-line assessment, but I have no idea what it means. When my return was so much, I don't know that I'm going to squabble about $200.00.

I'm sorry lynamon yours is not what you were expecting! wow.gif There was a link on my status where it took me to an assessment. Maybe check there for an explanation?
Mephys
I don't know much about taxes, but my accountant had file for me for the 4 months I was in Canada and then the rest of the year that I was in the US under section 217.

I got the major refund from section 217 but they never sent the 300$ from the other part....but like carla said I think I should keep my mouth shut and be happy with the 2k I got... unsure.gif

Called the non resident out of country useless line and they said they couldn't confirm that they had received my T1 adjustment. They said it only updates in the system when someone actually does work on it blink.gif SO.. it will be a cold day next year I presume when the review will be completed tongue.gif

When I called a couple of weeks ago, the guy said they were working on adjustments from April. I was told that 2 months ago.

Mine was filed in July.

I feel like I'm going through immigration again! laughing.gif

C. filed the non-resident form with his taxes in April. The non-rez status was approved June 23, and the refund check sometime in late July/early August.

I did the online dispute appeal on June 3rd. Haven't heard anything back from them. No status change on the online records. Another week or two and I'm going to phone them if nothing has changed.

I received some paperwork from them mmmmm 3 months ago? saying that they would get to mine sometime in the next 6 months. Take your time why don't you? wacko.gif

About 3 weeks ago I received an envelope from CRA. My cheque? Noooo. It's a bill for GST. And they say it's due immediately. I feel like I should mail them a letter stating that I will get to that sometime in the next 6 months.

Basically if my 2007 tax return isn't fixed by January 2009, then I'll have reason to complain.

Gimme an F.....Gimme a U....Gimme a.....

FINALLY!

Sent my T1 Amendment back in early June. Today, checked my CRA Online info (ePass) and the Re-assessment is in progress. Thank Goodness!

So there is hope for us still waiting! laughing.gif

I totally feel like I'm waiting for a visa or greencard approval laughing.gif

Into 2 weeks since the 're-assessment' began. dry.gif
Texanadian
Sheesh.....still nothing new on mine.
J&K
