how long a case to proceed with corresponding consulate?
what did u get an appointment date for cr1 visa? (aside from getting the packet)

It depends on how busy the consulate is with interviews but usually it takes 1-2 months for the foreign consulate to approve your case and have your visa in hand. Somewhere in that time is when you will schedule your medical to be done before you have the official interview. They will send you all the information you need to do that and what documents you should bring to the interview.

As far as how long it takes from NVC to mail the package to the consulate it is 1-3 weeks typically.

how would you know ur expected interview date and medical aside from the letter from nvc or consulate? whats the best time to call for verification?
