First let me say that I live in New York... A place where its hard to get a passerby to smile and say hello, nevermind find a comforting friend in this city. I don't talk much on this site (I'm quite shy by nature) but I do read alot here and ask a lot of questions. Each time I read a reply or get a PM I feel so blessed to be able to talk to someone who can relate to what I'm going thru. I have NOBODY here in NY that I know, that I can talk to about all I go thru with this Visa process. The last time I was with my fiance was almost a year ago. I filed the K-1 petition as soon as I got back but its still taken almost a year to get to this point. My fiance had an interview scheduled for March 12th at 7am. Because of the traffic situation and his VERY BAD TIMING....he got there 20 minutes late. 3 other men got there late as well. They would not let them in. They made them wait til 1:00pm to make an inquiry at which time he was given another date to come back.....April 16th!!! I wanted to kill him. lol. He said we were actually fortunate because some of the men had to wait til May. So anyhow, tomorrow is the big day. I haven't slept in days. I've done all I can do at this point and it is now out of my hands. I appreciate each and every reply, suggestion, advice, etc that I've gotten here that has helped me get to this day. I hope I can give you all some good news come tomorrow. Please keep us in your prayers tonight, I think we need all the help we can get. Thanks.........until tomorrow..........

Good Luck! Tomorrow's my birthday, I hope it brings more luck to your interview. I'm sure things will go fine, don't worry too much about it. I'm in NY, but upstate NY, you can PM me anytime you want to talk.

Good luck to you and your fiance. He sounds about as frustrating as my husband yes.gif He seems to live on what I call African Time.

Hola,
I totally understand what you mean when you say there isn't anyone whom you can speak to about the VISA journey. Many of us online have felt the same way and unless you've gone through it, going through it or know first hand; you don't know. The only people I could speak to about this process for the longest time were the people on VJ. Even now, I don't bother to share what I went through with too many people. Just know that there is an army of supporters behind you and that all will be well tomorrow. Rest well tonight if you can rolleyes.gif

I'll include you in my prayers, and pray that all goes well tomorrow and that you will reunite with your fiance "soonest" (as my Nigerian guy always says). Your posted photos convey a very loving couple. God bless you both.
