I haven't updated in a while, so I thought it was time. The NVC closed our case on March 28, 2008 and I found out last week that they scheduled his interview for the Tunis Embassy on May 5, 2008. I can't being to tell you how thrilled we are. From our first meeting in September 2005 to now, well it's nice to see some light. I talked to several people who've processed through Tunis in the last 2 years and they've all told me that their husbands or fiance took the visa either the same day or the next day - those that had morning appointments were told to come back at the end of the day and those who had afternoon appointments were asked to come back the following day. I really really hope, inshallah that will be the case for Jihed and I. Does anyone know about security checks for a CR 1 ? Someone told me that they have completed them by the time it gets to the embassy, but I still have those doubts that even if they grant him the visa, he could get stuck in months of security checks - I really, really hope we won't deal with that, but I'm trying to prepare myself for it. But as it looks now it's possible he could be here in May? OMG did I really just type that? LOL I'm sooo excited!!! If anyone has any tips on preparation for the interview, specifically in Tunis, please let me know!!!
