If the money order has been cashed it is that they have received the file. It does take time to process, our file was received on October 15 and we are still waiting

As what you've said they have confirmed that they are processing the case.. so that means, your NOA2 (Notice of Approval) is only one pending.. Don't worry, they didn't lose your case. It is so common that "waiting for approval" quite take some time, it take months. Don't panic. And try to check and look others time line, and so you will know you are not alone waiting for NOA2.

Yes it completely is.

They sent it to Nebraska (should have been California) and hasn't heard anything since.
They have posted over 12 topics asking the same thing and refuse to use any of the advice that has been given.
I highly suggest the USC fiance to come onto VJ to get the information and move forward.
