how to cancel finance visa,its been approve waiting for the inteview date.but due to unexpicted reasons and circumstance i have to cancel it.how do i do that?can anyone help me,who do i contact?

I would put it in writing that you want to withdraw your petition to the Visa Centre thats dealing with it.

simply write a letter to the Visa Center that you want to withdraw your petition..

where would i send the letter to?

Send it to the sevice center dealing with it, if its at the embassy send one there too.

anyways, i wonder why u would withdraw ur petition when so many people eagerly wait for their interview schedule to come

you can leave it that way BUT it will affect on your next petition so better let em know whats happening.

I emailed the NVC asking about how to cancel (I broke up as well), they instructed me to contact the embassy and request in writing that the petition be withdrawn (it was at the embassy stage). I'm sending the letter on Monday.

It's weird how things change, it doesn't feel like long ago I was putting this application together and working so hard at that (last June), now I'm asking that it be cancelled...craziness.

If I were you, I would also call USCIS and ask them how to cancel your petition and move forward from there. Just my .02.

Same year, july, 2007 i received a FORMAL NOTICE OF WITHDRAWAL FILED BY THE PETIIONER, i just want to verify if this cleared and void as i have a present filed K-1 visa last April 2008, is this will affect us ? or nothing to worry . i need to help your informations guys,

If the case already at the "waiting for an interview date" stage, it is no longer a question of canceling the petition....it has been approved by USCIS, its out of their hands. The petitioner (USC) should now "withdraw" your support for the visa applicaiton of the beneficiary.
BTW, are you the petitioner, or the beneficiary? If you're the petitioner, then a letter should be sent tothe NVC and to the consulate withdrawing your support for the visa applicaiton. As the beneficiary, you can contact the consulate (via letter or e-mail) referencing your case # and state your desire to withdraw said applicaiton.
